Chance (Chanel 2003) is beautifully reminiscent of Coco Mademoiselle with its sweet freshness. While not as crisp or masculine as Chance Eau Fraiche it’s very Chanelesque – airy, supremely elegant, of course, and faintly romantic. It would make a tremendous warm weather scent.
Top notes of: hyacinth, pink pepper, patchouli, iris, and pineapple. Middle notes of: jasmine and lemon. Base notes of: vetiver, vanilla, patchouli and musk.
Dr. Jart BB Beauty Balm is a bit like liquid foundation but with a little something extra because it’s faintly illuminating. It has some chalkiness from the spf probably and is a little moisturizing, although it also left my skin feeling somewhat greasy. Frankly, I didn’t really like it and the fact that the color was off to begin with was a problem too.
Tata Harper Elixir Vitae from the Tata Harper Supernatural Collection was basically useless on my skin despite what it promised. It didn’t even moisturize all that well. My fine lines were the same or worse, despite the wildly opposite claims made by Tata Harper. In all honesty, I think this product is total waste of money.
Tata Harper Moisturizing Mask is another less than satisfactory Tata Harper product in my humble opinion. It did essentially nothing… It too was just really greasy but not that moisturizing and every time I tried it I was always disappointed.
So, while I love some Tata Harper products, such as the Brightening Concentrate, or the Resurfacing Mask (or even the lip stuff) not all products are that great. I think with this brand you really, really need to test things out first.
After an awful week and tough start to the weekend, things simmered down and finally started making sense again in my world a little by the end of the weekend… I learned a lot last week though. And I was reminded that there’s an infinite amount of things in this world that we can’t control and we can only control how we deal with it all.
I just wish I could go back in time and share some of the things I learned last week, and in the last few years in general really, with my younger self. Don’t we all wish that though? It’s too bad life doesn’t have way to go back and do stuff over again. Sigh.
I’m not advocating perfectionism. I’m not advocating beating yourself up… But isn’t the ideal so ideal?
Anyway, I’ll try to become less and less cryptic in these posts eventually. 🙂
Thanks for reading all of you out there.
