The 1989 formulation of Rochas Femme is breathless, beautiful and spicy. It’s powdery and sweet with fruit notes. And, Rochas Femme is actually still fairly remarkable despite the several reformulations it’s endured over the decades. It still retains an air of mystery and romance.
In the drydown it becomes sexy, elegant, warm, spicier and very pretty. It’s definitely a fragrance for an adult and that’s not a bad thing.
At some point I would like to purchase the 2013 formulation of Femme. I’ve heard that it actually is the closest yet to the original, however, the common to find 1989 formulation is certainly not a disappointment.
Top notes: peach, plum, cinnamon, apricot, Brazilian rosewood, bergamot, and lemon. Middle notes: iris, cloves, jasmine, carnation, ylang ylang, rosemary, and rose. Base notes: benzoin, musk, patchouli, amber, leather, oakmoss and vanilla.
Yesterday was nice. I mostly sipped tea and wine, nibbled on dark chocolate and wrote the entire day while it rained outside. My mother took care of my son. It was great. 🙂
I hope you’re having a good week dear reader.
