Sweet, cheerful, Rare Gold (Avon 1995) is a pleasing scent with strong opening notes of ylang ylang, jasmine and a succlent peach. Orange blossom is also quite present, adding a gentle earthiness to this composition. And, of course, warm base notes add further dimension and depth. While I don’t often find myself drawn to Avon fragrances, this is rare one that I do like… It’s quite pretty (and reminds me a bit of yesterday’s fragrance Trésor actually).
Top notes: ylang-ylang, freshly sweet bergamot, and mandarin. Middle notes: jasmine, orange blossom, lily of the valley, tuberose, gardenia and aldehydes. Base notes: sandalwood, amber and vanilla.
