La Vie Est Belle

La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme (2012)
is a luminous, bright gourmand with elegant, fruity floral opening notes and a sweet, warm but playful base. The notes of black currant and iris are particularly pleasant and noticeable throughout.  It’s cheerful, friendly and, as the name suggests, beautiful.

Top notes: pear and black currant.  Middle notes: jasmine, lily and iris.  Base notes: vanilla, tonka bean, praline and patchouli.

Today has been tiring but ok.  Our stuff is on its way to where we’re going…  I’m feeling a lot of different emotions as I was yesterday, and I’m sure that won’t change anytime soon.

Sigh.  How are you?? Truly…  Please comment if you like.  I’d love to know…  I hope you’re all well.

    • What did you think of the ad? 🙂 As somewhat of an aside, I think Julia Roberts is one of those people who have managed to age incredibly gracefully (because of or despite whatever she’s done)…

Our apartment still needs to be totally cleaned out but most of our stuff is being moved across the country. We’ll all fly out in a week… It’s been an odd move given all the emotional stuff going on and the distance… Thank you for asking!!

By the way, I’ve checked your blog a lot recently for new posts. How are you? Of course no posts might mean you’re busy with a lot of good things 🙂 but either way… Maybe answering that honestly isn’t the easiest thing to do in a comment section of a blog, sorry, but… Anyway…

      • Haha I’m all about ads lately! The only reaction I had to it was mild surprise that she’s still called on for that kinda stuff. She hasn’t really been very notable in the movies for a fair few years. She looked well on the ad though, it’s true. It’s not clear from reading your blog what’s actually happening with you in terms of your arrangements, but I’m thinking that’s intentional. I’ve enjoyed reading the scenes you’ve been posting by the way… they draw you in. You noticed when I wasn’t around- fantastic! That makes me feel good. I haven’t been posting simply because I can’t think of anything to write about. But nah, not much happening round my way to be honest.

      • I can’t remember any movies she was in either, but she’s such an icon I suppose… Yes! I’ve noticed that you seem to be into ads lately. They are interesting…

I don’t say a lot of specifics, that’s true. I probably could because there are millions of people everywhere we’ve lived recently but… I just don’t for safety reasons as I’m guessing you were alluding to.

Thank you! I hope my writing draws people in. I appreciate people reading it. Thank you!!

Yes! I had noticed… You have an entertaining blog. You are really good at engaging people. Just reading your comments section is often interesting. I need to engage more with other bloggers. I’m a bit too individualistic in that way maybe…

      • I should probably admit here that I sometimes just choose a topic like ‘blogging’ and blindly like a load of posts under it. Then people visit my blog and some of them follow and comment. Cheating basically. But the tactic has also led to me discovering a load of blogs I’ve been glad to discover.

      • Haha! Your candor is honestly refreshing and really I should try the same thing… Thing is, it must work so well for you at least in part because you write well and have interesting posts for those perusing your blog to read… 🙂 I look forward to your next post… Hopefully something intriguing grips you soon… No pressure though. Sincerely.

      • Well, you’re kind but I have posted silly crap quite often. You should give the liking thing a bash. Your blog is very much worth following. I discovered it because a blogger I was a fan of had stopped to sing your praises, after all.

      • Haha… I was thinking about how you discovered my blog actually… Hahaha! 🙂 I think you’re a good writer (not that you were fishing for a compliment). You manage to be quite vulnerable and yet incredibly likeable. I wouldn’t call anything you’ve written silly crap at all (of course), but anyway… Thank you. I need to “put myself out there more” as they say… Thank you for the encouragement. 🙂

      • Thanks. That’s lovely to hear. Your blog is unique. If you did ‘put yourself out there’ it would have a positive outcome I’m certain. But maybe you don’t want to do that, so fair enough : )

      • Thank you. That’s very perceptive. I actually do intentionally not “put myself out there” oftentimes… And not for negative reasons entirely. 🙂 Thank you for noticing. Ha!
