Peacock Throne

Do you want to smell like an upscale candle?   Do you want to walk around wafting the sort of fragrance that emerges from the bubbly waters of a luxuriously fragranced bath at a spa?  Well, my dears, perhaps Peacock Throne (Thameen 2013) would be right up your alley.

Honestly, I’m pretty taken with it.  There’s something about the roses combined with the patchouli and vanilla in particular that is really genuinely fun and pretty.  Not unlike the rose in Frederic Malle’s Lipstick Rose, this rose is somewhat reserved, thoughtful, and elegant but definitely not a tease.

Of all the fragrances I’ve sampled, this one is most likely to be purchased in full bottle form.   And I can’t think of one fragrance I already own that’s exactly like it enough for me to resist it entirely, but…we’ll see.

Notes:  Sicilian lemon, pink pepper, nutmeg, taif rose, ylang, Turkish rose, jasmine, vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, and vanilla.
