At some point in the 1980’s or 90’s Crabtree and Evelyn debuted a fragrance called Evelyn. It’s rosy, rosy beauty is very charming. Matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve smelled a fragrance as truly rosy as Evelyn before.
Evelyn opens with rosebuds – the sort of vintage rose scent I imagine wafting from the pages of a Victorian romance novel if stories had a fragrance. Eventually in the drydown a warm, almost earthy greeness settles on the skin so I can’t say that Evelyn is a liner, single note wonder. Yet, even in the warm drydown the rose is strong and beautiful.
Well… I was supposed to post yesterday and it didn’t happen. Oops. Seriously, something about these last few weeks has just been that way. It’s like time is moving particularly quickly and I haven’t kept up my pace. Sigh. Again, sorry dear reader.
We’re still planning on moving. I’m not sure when, as it all depends on the timing of things with my husband’s job.
Did you watch the Republican Primary if you’re in the US? Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Donald Trump finds his way into the Whitehouse. I really wouldn’t. The media would say it’s impossible or nearly impossible but that’s the way I think the wind might be blowing… We’ll see. 🙂
