Cabotine

Notes according to Fragrantica: “Top notes are Coriander, Orange Blossom, Black Currant, Cassia, Plum, Tangerine and Peach; middle notes are Tuberose, Hiacynth, Carnation, Ginger, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Freesia, Iris, Rose, Heliotrope and Violet; base notes are Civet, Vetiver, Black Currant, Musk, Sandalwood, Cedar, Amber, Tonka Bean and Vanilla.”

The story is that this is a makeshift perfume made cheap and quick? Well…that’s not what it smells like.

Eerie, haunting and reminiscent of rainy summer days…in a city…Cabotine is…gorgeous. It’s cheap…but it doesn’t smell cheap. It smells…very of it’s time, the 1990’s, and yet it’s also timeless.

Sillage and longevity are decent. And it’s truly iconic.

Eau De Cologne

Nose: Jacques Polge

Notes according to Fragrantica: “Top notes are Lemon, Bergamot, Citruses and Green Notes; middle notes are Neroli, Petitgrain and Spicy Notes; base notes are Musk and Tonka Bean.”

Lemon!!

I think it’s unisex…although it leans slightly masculine. As most colognes do. Or maybe as all colognes do. Regardless, the Chanel musk and neroli make it lovely enough for a woman. And in the heat of summer I quite enjoy wearing it.

Sillage and longevity aren’t…great…but they aren’t bad either, especially for a unisex cologne. …And it’s Chanel.

I personally don’t wear it often but it’s refreshing and wearable in summer.
