Quadrille

Notes according to Fragrantica: “Top notes are Plum, Peach and Lemon; middle notes are Cardamom, Cloves and Jasmine; base notes are Amber and Musk.”

Year: 1955

I smell the plum. I smell the lemon mixed with the cardamom and peach. Of course the clove. And amber and musk.

It’s…definitely a chypre. And I can see why someone loved it. But it’s not my style.

…Quadrille is very of its time. And it’s pleasant. Sexy maybe? Sexy in a discreet, quiet way.

Longevity and sillage are low to moderate.

It’s a quality, important, lovely work of olfactory art. But think this will be my only bottle.
