Almost two years ago I bought this Guerlain classic from Macy’s. But, I vaguely recall it from my adolescence.
It’s such a clean, late-1990’s-aesthetic perfume. Such an airy, ozonic, aquatic, sleek, elegant Guerlain. It’s the epitome of genre perfection if the Aqua Allegoria line has an overall olfactory goal and running theme.
The note of grapefruit of course takes center stage. But the other notes of lemon, bergamot, patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla as arranged by Jean Paul Guerlain and Mathilde Laurent are sublime of course as well.
Actually, the entire presentation and experience of wearing Pamplelune is one of timeless, chic, pretty-person fun. Certainly recommended.
