Death

Rondo in F Minor for Piano by Nicholas Britell plays.

What was Lem doing at the Kennedy house in Florida. Because if Lacey had been there their bodies would have become one…with the brilliant bespectacled mind of Lem Billings orchestrating their perfect union.

“Lem wore glasses? I always hated that. It made him look weak.” says JFK. “Eww!”

Intermezzo in C Minor by Nicholas Britell plays.

“No, it made me conniving.” says Lem Billings with a smirk. “Like a very quiet…calculating…shark.”

“But you squinted!!” protests Kick.

“So did I.” says Becca Seay. “Doesn’t mean I have a shit about my daughter…or are you too worthless to even comprehend what I’m saying?”

“No!! Becca…no.” says Eunice.

“No. I’m devious. Not…loving. I’m pragmatic not good. But God’s superior to everyone and everything.” says Becca.

And so…if Lem Billings had united with Lacey as he wished…and needed to…as a man…all might have been fine. But she wasn’t there. And everything became horribly confused.

Andante Con Moto by Nicholas Britell plays.

Lem squinted. While wearing spectacles.

And being at their weakest…the Kennedys…bent backwards…arms out and back behind them. In their souls and spirits. As if they were Gumby in a hurricane.

Corinne by Metronomy plays.

“Will they blow away?” asked Joe Kennedy Senior’s grandmother.

“Why don’t they just turn around and bow!?!” yelled Lem silently within himself.

“Now to you?” asks Sean Connery.

Lem laughs. “Of course. Who else?”

The song plays.

“Lem the Earth is forcing us to bow to you!! And it’s a bit much!!” yells Joe Kennedy Senior at Lem, his soulmate’s twin flame.

It’s a hurricane in Florida.

Key Largo.

Rain.

Beauty.

“Ha! Monster! I’ve caught you!” yells Lem at Joe. He laughs maniacally.

Joe Kennedy Senior weeps. Falls to the ground and tries to crawl towards to Lem to tackle him in a hurricane.

But just as he’s almost able to reach Lem…he’s picked up and swept away. And at that Lem walks inside at 6 foot 4 inches and takes the Kennedy fortune…as his.

Remind you of anything? Why…it’s England in Ireland all over again.

“Except…do we really take all of Ireland?” asks Queen Mary.

“Oh. It’s shit anyway.” says Lem.

“But it was their land!” says King George V.

Lem stares out the window at the hurricane.

“This is why I wanted to kill myself after Jack was shot.” says Lem. “I was so damn sneaky.”

“What’s your evil?” asks Lacey.

“Lacey….I just…didn’t care. Not really. I did. You know…but not…in that way.” says Lem.

“Like how you care about us?” asks Lacey.

“Yes. And it’s more complicated than that. …But…that’s too difficult to discuss now. I…might have been…inadvertently spying.” says Lem.

“That’s ambitious!” says an American hater, condescendingly.

“No. It’s not. I’m better than you. In that way.” says Lem, scientifically.

Indian by Sleeping At Last plays.

“I hate science!!” screams Bobby.

“I’ll clean.” says Lacey.

“It’s ours now.” says Lem.

“Damn. Poor sods.” says Lacey, lovingly.

An American Irish woman laughs. “Why am I grouped in with those people?!”

“Because. It’s a game show.” says Sean Connery, derisively.

“You cannot…take their land!” says the Irish American woman.

“No. We can. It’s the law.” says Lacey, bitterly.

A Native American woman laughs.

“It is their law.” says the Native American woman.

“Yes! But…then the land is ours.” says Lacey, fitfully.

They all look sad.
