Tonight I felt prompted to look at footage of Hotel Cecil.
…I hadn’t read that Elisa had damage done to her anus before she died. …I had heard she was undressed.
But what fascinates me is that while watching the footage I came up with a theory. The theory being that Elisa was either talking to someone or something that asked her if she could either impersonate a frog or swim like one. She spreads her hands and fingers out like a frog and then bends like one. And she looks very scared and/or disoriented at that moment.
So…was she being murdered by the living or hallucinating? And if she was hallucinating…I’m still not convinced she wasn’t murdered by the demonic realm. Something inspired her to think of trying to swim like a frog…or that was some very evil person’s way of telling her she was about to be drowned.
I think…if she was murdered she was sexually assaulted and targeted. And I would bet it was a hotel employee who helped alter the footage with an “outside” rapist. Possibly a drug dealer rapist and who had a hotel employee hooked? The dealer used the hotel employee’s habit to get him or her to be of assistance?
…I’m not sure why the police didn’t look into it more though. I worry they got scared. …I’m not sure why.
Maybe they felt pressured to come up with something…and so they went with what’s easiest. Maybe they felt it was too difficult to find the culprit? There could be thousands and thousands of overly mysterious people? It was too time consuming? …My gut tells me something weird with police happened though if she was murdered. Something genuinely disturbing.
“They might have been too…disturbed to want to look further.” says a man who worked for Tom Banks.
“Gang activity!?” asks Lacey.
“Yeah. Or a drug dealer who is a far bigger deal than you’d think.” he says.
“Someone paid them off?” says Lacey.
“Yeah. …She wrote online. She went shopping at a book store.
I think she was targeted.” he says.
“By a local criminal?” asks Lacey.
“Yes! Someone who she talked to. Or even vaguely knew.” he says.
“Who was a secret criminal?” asks Lacey.
“Yeah! Something like that. …And they planned it. Maybe not carefully but they planned it. …And I’d bet they based it loosely on Dark Water.” he says. “I’d bet they came up with the idea while watching the film.”
“I suppose the police wouldn’t have to have been paid off.” says Lacey.
He thinks. “Yeah! Except…getting away with a thing like that is harder than you’d think. …So…I tend to think they’d have a connection.” he says. “Anyway, I don’t blame you for…wondering if she was murdered.”
“Goodnight.” says Lem.
