“Weird” by Lem

Lacey was being mocked by Diego. Apparently. He felt…empowered mocking her. And that suggests that he saw her as some sort of loser. But it’s unclear why.

“Do you see Lacey as a man?” asks Elliott Roosevelt of Mina.

“No.” says Mina.

“That’s how you relate to her.” says Elliott. “But that’s just not who she is.”

“Why do women like you do that!?” says Lacey.

“I’ve never understood it either.” says a Boomer woman.

Their poor ancestors stare at Lacey. In a saloon. She’s not one of them. And she sits there looking at them…baffled.

“Umm…do we seem feminine?” says a Middle Eastern woman.

“No! She seems feminine.” says Mina.

“That’s not the impression you give. Anyone. Including men.” says Elliott.

“We’re not being serious.” says Mina.

“I didn’t know that. And neither did Diego.” says Chris.

Mina laughs. “Okay. But…she’s…obviously feminine.”

“That’s not the impression you gave me! At the meeting when we were reading her. You told me she was weird. And very gay.” says Diego. “And evil.”

“Yeah. That’s how mean girls always treat me.” says Lacey. “In my generation.”

“No. But…I’m so laid back I haven’t ever worried about it until you all attacked me, I guess.” says Lacey.

“Oh wow. Okay.” says Mina. “Umm…so Chris and Diego thought you were a gold-digger. …In your estimation…what’s the likelihood that that’s true?”

“There’s about a 10% chance at most.” says Lacey.

“Good!” says Lacey.

Lacey stares at her. Blinks. “How do you mean that?”

“A lot of it.” says Lacey.

“You know you stop being bullied as much when you were about 10 years old because you stop trying to be entertaining to people in school.” says one of her childhood bullies.

“Yeah I started just focusing on schoolwork that’s true.” says Lacey.

“We were nicer to you after that, but you were right nobody tried to be your friend you just sort of disappeared, and stopped getting as much attention from people.” says one of her bullies.

“Yeah I always had the sense that a lot of you weren’t really going to want to be my friend if I was myself and I was right and it’s just it was a very lonely childhood extraordinarily lonely and it’s been an extraordinarily lonely life.” says Lacey. 

“We don’t give a damn about you. We don’t love you. But I think if someone loved you they would like your quietness and it wouldn’t be a problem and they would just…love you.” she says. “Like parents.”

“True!!” says Rita.

“Of course because there’s lots of quiet people who have happy lives they just have friends and family that care about them. Yeah and I don’t have that as much as a lot of people do. I think Mark cares about me some but no most most people are probably actually very bored by the real person that I actually am.” says Lacey.

“I’m not. And I love her.” says Lem.

“ no she’s very kind. She’s a very what some people would think of as persnickety. She’s very persnickety very complicated very serious, but she’s very kind and she’s try not to be an unloving on relatable person and actually in our generation as she saw yesterday at the store, she would’ve been considered one of the eggrolls so men would’ve been fascinated by her and they are attracted to her now too but it would’ve been different and so that would’ve been a very weird experience for her because she’s experience to get a tiny bit now because the men in that generation are being allowed to interact with or who are dead like me, but it’s very overwhelming to her because she’s not used to people actually caring about her in that way and even growing up with parents who loved the real person that she is she would’ve still struggled with making friends at times because she’s so deeply serious and quiet just by nature and so that that’s the problem and no matter what if that she was very mysterious and fascinating and she is but I know there is if there is a sort of micro evolution, and some people aren’t capable of understanding that concept and I don’t have time for it right now I’m exhausted and exasperated with all thing but no, she really is more like the greatest generation and I am or the silent generation, and know that would’ve that it’s not some thing she ever got to experience developmentally as an adult but now she would’ve been very popular with men extremely popular and her hair would look different and her whole style would be different because we had different styles long straight hair is a little weird to her aesthetically but she wears it because it’s popular she’s really not that suited for today so that’s part of why she just doesn’t try that hard with how she looks because she doesn’t like what there is to choose from. It’s not exciting to her. It’s just dull but no back in the day yeah, with people in her actual generation genetically and someways they would’ve been more comfortable admitting that she was beautiful and they would’ve felt more of an urge to procreate with her and so they would’ve been far more vocal.

Yes, honey Fitz and Jack are constantly trying to shut her up because if there is reincarnation, they are currently terrified by how stupid they look too many living people. If there’s not reincarnation for some reason they’re so paranoid to and there’s other demons that are attacking her trying to shut her up and it’s not going to work, but they are very very anxious.

I’m sorry if you don’t get her aesthetic, I feel like writing a whole blog post just about her body because I don’t think men today get her body they look at it and they’re just like oh yeah I guess she’s attractive. They haven’t approached her and actually said something And when she was younger, a lot of catty heartless people would say oh well yeah you’re pretty but they’re not hitting on you because you’re pretty they’re hitting on you because they’re creepy old man which is disgusting in and in some cases might have been jealousy but no a lot of women have said oh that’s creepy that’s weird you’re so young you know you’re 2526 years old and this man is what 50 or this man is 70 and how dare he do that, and it could’ve just been jealousy and stupidity and lack of self-awareness on their part but it was something that women would frequently say to her were there just like oh my gosh that’s weird that’s so gross you you’re like Lolita oh my god oh my God!

She is unusually attractive and really far more curvy than a lot of people have cared about today and actually, I feel like women have noticed that more openly than men which is really disturbing considering that she’s straight it’s not in the sense that women maybe you’re more aware of what women look like historically but then that’s disturbing to because what does that mean about men that you’re just idiots with no sense of history I mean what is that But no she is shaped like Marilyn Monroe. Casi was literally told Lacey that and it’s true and Casi is larger than Lacey but she’s not shaped like that. She is very very very curvaceous but it’s a different shape. OK we’re talking about shapes we’re talking about things that are very non-emotive very intellectual Casi is very curvy but no it’s a different shape that the proportions are arranged differently. It’s just a different shape it’s a different model. It’s a different person a different generation genetically possibly and so she noticed and she said that to Lacey you look like Marilyn Monroe your body is shaped like Marilyn Monroe and Lacey thought what the heck is she talking about and then she realize that yeah it’s sort of true And I obviously would notice that I am a man and I was attracted to to Maryland another women who were shaped like that but it is different and so I think it’s disturbing because you don’t she was trying to tell her husband this yesterday because it was really thought-provoking to hurt what happen with that man but it’s it’s very fun it really is actually quite disturbing because that is her shape And yet because that’s her shape and that’s not what popular men were alive today haven’t commented on it and they’ve they’ve objectively realize that she’s that attractive but they haven’t found it exciting and and frankly I wouldn’t be surprised if some of you have miscategorised Lem’s is gay partially, because he actually is so foreign looking himself genetically. Diana and Marilyn had a larger front but then you could see Marilyn’s the most curvy possibly of all of them. I’m not sure who is actually more curvy Lacey or Diana and it’s complicated but it’s a matter of preference at that point. She wears Birkenstocks and shorts and it’s flattering but it’s not high heels and a skirt or a petal pushers. Add a triangle undergarment if you know pointy undergarment, which would actually be quite attractive women back, then had different shaped rest. It’s just true where they how they were shaped where the chest fell on the chat the rest fell on their chest, how they were separated, the whole thing was more naturally shaped like a triangle. It just was a more flattering look and it went out of style as those women started well frankly becoming what 4050 something and it just wasn’t as I don’t know that maybe they got sick of looking like that or some thing I don’t know, but it went out of style and then, when people were younger who fashion was catering to in the 80s who were younger than the late 70s and 80s those women were shaped differently, and they stop making them that way, but that I was actually look for a reason because it actually was more natural unflattering then people today realize I have possibly realize for a while.” says Elliott.

“ so if she had had that attention from men in a more obvious way that she could understand, and her personality will say, and then there for it’s like, even if something happened that she didn’t realize or notice who cares it’s probably wasn’t as obvious or as I was gonna say accurate as the men, a previous generations would’ve experienced expressed, and then the way they expressed it went over her head so so then what she hast to realize is that what would’ve been normal is the way men have treated her in that church in those generations, the silent generation and the greatest generation those generations are what actually is normal and I think if that was the male population alive you know the majority well she was young the same age as her know she would have a lot more empathy for other women because she would walk around looking at her actual best and it would fly to her. She would look at her actual best and she would probably get more attention, and then women who are offended by her, even now so to speak, because she is just objectively that beautiful so women that are offended by her or who are catty or competitive no would make more sense to her but I think it hasn’t entirely made sense because she’s so quiet and women have been so weird to her treating her like she’s some sort of a dude when really she’s just a very serious quiet person and they could’ve actually just been bothered by how pretty she was or something and so they’ve been mean and she’s just like I have no idea why this is weird and then yeah it just is not made any sense to her at all and she thinks maybe I am masculine but then she’s like no not really never mind I don’t know what that is but I guess I’ll just have to ignore it because it’s not really who I am but whatever I know that’s not who I am. I guess that’s just their perception and that’s sad in a way but that’s fine and then she just let it go and then it’s like to put. I think she would’ve thought no no there’s something wrong with us. OK it’s not that it’s hard to capture a sunset on camera is that cameras are fucking shit at capturing certain dimensions they are get over it it’s hard and if you’re a really skilled photographer, you can kind of do it but it’s also just the fucking camera itself. Cameras do lie. They do add 10 pounds. That’s not a myth. And so that’s the problem. Cameras are horrible at capturing her face that’s not made up and I don’t know what to say that’s just a fact and actually we’ve had some people look at her just to get it just to get a perspective on who were dealing with if there’s an illuminati, we’ve had people Who look at her in public who are in the CIA I did.
