“Day At The Banks” by Lem Billings

I Bet On Losing Dogs by Mitski plays.

Thomas Banks awkwardly holds his daughter protectively on his shoulder in front of his $3 million house in town bought by him and Reta in the 1930s-late 1930s when Lacey was about five or six. It’s not his only residence. They also have a farm with some substantial property attached to it and cabin near the Canadian border just north of Duluth.

Summertime by Mareux plays.

“You really look a lot like Tom! You look a lot like him!

You have his chin-line, you probably have his nose, he’s just a man and he’s old in this picture, you have his eyes and his ears and probably have the shape of your body from him. You look a lot like your father! And you probably have his personality to some degree.

I am in shock. I am sorry, but whether I’m reading this blog or if I’m hearing all this for the first time when I’m dead, it is shocking because we knew your dad Jim had secrets. He hid the fact that he was gay, but it was also obvious that he was gay…and yet we had no idea that he had worked for this mobster and Becca‘s pregnancy seemed like it was going fairly well.

Maria lost a baby. Terese lost a baby, so it makes sense that she could’ve had the same problem somehow but it just is shocking. And it it makes sense of you in ways that I don’t wanna talk about because it shows that I dabbled in astrology sometimes but I can’t-I can’t fathom it. And I’m sorry but I just I had to share that because I’m getting irritated too, with God, wherever I am telling you this that you’re supposed to know all these things and have all of this figured out or it’s sin…and it’s not fair…because I don’t think you want to be in theological error and lead people astray…but I don’t think you can figure out what’s going on…and I just want to say I’m sorry.” says Bethany Nesheim, Lacey’s second cousin.

Bethany

Yeah, and more shockingly than that to some people is that I might actually be very distantly related to Becca and umm…and then she was raised by our southern relatives who owned plantations. And yes, Silas may have actually worked with us to free slaves on occasion as an abolitionist and used his relatives as cover but even so they didn’t always agree and that is not the family that I would want my “twin flame” raised by.

You know they were a nice family in some ways…and that’s-I’m not trying to totally disparage them. It’s just they fell apart after the Civil War and developed very serious problems and I just-it’s overwhelming to me too Bethany.

You and your family were not all bad either and I wanna make that clear. We’re not trying to make you all seem as if you made every mistake you could make. It’s just you know about the problems…and it’s sad. It’s all very sad.

Dumb by Nirvana plays.

Chris Hayes shows. In a black Mercedes sedan.

Come Together by the Beatles plays. Troops of very melodramatic CIA operatives roll around on the front lawn of the Banks’s house. Lacey is an adult now.

Chris walks up to Lacey takes out a body bag, shoots her full of some serum that leaves her temporally unconscious…throws her in the body bag and Tom rushes back into the house and starts planning a war. Still, extraordinarily confident and sure that what he’s doing makes an infinite amount of profoundly rational sense…Chris carries Lacey into his sedan, throws her in the backseat, and as she wakes-up begins explaining to her her error in judgment.

Meanwhile, I watch in horror because this is definitely not where I had hoped things would go. I had been withheld and was restrained by demonic forces from being able to make the impact that I had hoped to make in Lacey‘s life but I had no idea that her life was going to end up in this situation, and I am astounded myself that I ever spoke to Jack much less posed for pictures with him…because he wanted to convince himself that we were a couple even while he openly derided the idea. He was extraordinarily manipulative, and yet he misunderstood me from the very beginning.

At any rate, this is when I started going into action and if you keep trying to suffocate her you’re going to possibly end-up in Hell if she dies within the next three months…so to stop and Bobby that goes for you too if you reject Christ. And it will not go without punishment. The way you’re trying to kill her is totally inhumane. Giving her anxiety attacks that could collapse her system and cause it to self-destruct will not help your campaign and if it’s not Bobby doing that whoever did it is going to regret it. People need to think they’re being smart when they’re being nice and if that’s too hard for them to sustain then maybe there’s something retarded about them and they should just die, if they can’t restrain themselves as adults.

Like A G6 by Far East Movement plays.

“Lacey they say it’s very simple. But it’s not. What I do for a living is incredibly complicated and if you were worth a damn and if you understood me…maybe I’d let you suck my cock.” says Chris Hayes. “Tell you what. I’m going to throw your body into the ocean and let the fish eat you or if I decide that I’m not going to cater to the lower classes and you’re trash family….I’ll just drop you off in traffic and let you get ran over by a car.”

“I don’t understand what I did wrong.” says Lacey.

“You didn’t do anything wrong other than just being street trash!” says Chris Hayes, coolly.

“I I don’t believe that you could call my family street-trash but you seem quite serious about it. What indicated to you that Lake of the Isles was a trash neighborhood?” asks Lacey Banks.

“Hey it’s just I am from Brooklyn and I grew-up in the Bronx. I’m sure you’ve heard of my neighborhood. Ahh…it’s called New York City.” says Chris Hayes.

“OK but my father is worth about $50 million. How much are you worth? It says online that you’re worth $6 million. …So…you’re beneath us then.” says Lacey.

“Yeah, so what? I belong to a organization called the Illuminati. Your father’s paltry $50 million sweetie in Minnesota is worthless to us. We control the whole fucking world…and I fuck them…and they fuck me and we’re best friends. We always support each other. And you’re not one of us actually.

*dramatic silence*

So I’m a little worried that your father might be…or that his family might have founded something important at some point but…I haven’t looked into it…but who fucking cares? Because right here in the here and now…he’s not that big of a deal…and I am.

I am in the Illuminati.” says Chris Hayes.

“But then that means that my family declares war on you and the entire Illuminati.” says Lacey Banks.

“I don’t care if your father was deep throat and ran the CIA from behind bars…he’s not in the Illuminati. I am.” says Chris Hayes.

BILLIE EILISH by Armani White plays.

“But then that means we declare war against you.” explains Lacey.

“I don’t care if you fart in my face and made me eat maggots for dinner. I’ll throw-up, wake-up the next morning and still be in the Illuminati and still be Chris Hayes. Big fucking deal, big deal! You can’t threaten me! I’m untouchable! Go ahead and try me! I dare you! I dare you to try me.” says Chris Hayes.

“So are you angry because you grew-up in the Bronx and you’re assuming that my family had something to do with the gang activity that you experienced in your childhood that traumatized you? Because I’m not entirely sure we were actually in connection with those people and if we were, I will have to look into it, but I don’t think that we necessarily had anything to do with your trauma…and maybe we can even help you.” says Lacey Banks.

“Shut-up! …Ahh…that’s not what this is about at all! …And you know it!” says Chris Hayes.

“No…but it-but then what why am I in the back of your car…and why did the CIA just declare war on my father? Look, I could end-up dead, but this could also be a really bad thing. Why, why are you kidnapping me? What is it that I did??” pleads Lacey, confidently.

“You are a trans man and you’re trying to steal my husband.” says Chris Hayes, crying. He’s completely sincere.

“So you believe that I am a trans man and that I am stealing your husband?” says Lacey.

“Why did you sleep with him last night? I had him…and then he just disappeared.” says Chris. He stops and applies lipstick.

“Ah…I don’t think that makes sense, but I’m intrigued by it.” says Lacey.

“So you’re one of those people who solve problems in the world and take responsibility for everything? Yeah right! Listen…Miss Pretentious between you and me that was a lie. The truth is…I’m kind of a big deal but it’s complicated. Let me explain. Listen…you’re in for a treat.” says Chris Hayes.
