Keep On by Portugal. The Man plays.
Bobby tries his hand at dating Lem Billings again.
Why?
Because they’re choosing evil? Possibly.
This time Lacey has agreed to arrange the entire thing.
“I had to resort to whooping her ass and making my dumb ass bitch arrange the entire fucking thing.” says Bobby Kennedy Junior.
Bobby arrives at Lem’s door holding flowers. It’s a bouquet of a dozen hyacinths in an Japanese antique blue and white bowl. He extends it to Lem with his conceited, arrogant smirk.
“Thank you, Robert.” says Lem, who’s not really gay at all.
Lem takes the bowl and places it on his table. Then he walks over to the door and says, “Robert, where are we going for dinner?”
“Chez Danielle.” says Bobby.
“Oh goody.” says Lem. “Am I dressed well enough?”
“No!!” yells Bobby.
Startled, “Why?” asks Lem.
“You rubbish! You fucking dog!” yells Bobby.
“What the Hell did I do!!?” asks Lem.
“Kiss my ass, why don’t you? You sinner. …Just kidding.” says Bobby. He giggles and then turns on his heels and giddily darts out of the door, expects Lem to follow him.
Lem follows him. From a distance. Bobby doesn’t notice.
Lem gets close to the elevator and decides to let Bobby get on first.
“I’ll meet you downstairs.” says Lem.
“No! Get in the elevator!” pleads Bobby.
And so Bobby is restrained by suddenly appearing tethers to the sides of the elevator. He attempts to move and rape Lem but can’t get out of the straight jacket.
Once they reach the ground floor they exit the elevator. Bobby is unattached and escorted by angels. They stand outside the elevator and once they are safely distanced from each other Bobby stands there and waits.
“Where is the restaurant?” asks Lem.
“You’re taking us there.” says Bobby.
“I have no idea where it is.” says Lem.
“That’s something you’re supposed to know!” says Bobby.
“I’m not sure why!” says Lem.
“This is your date.” says Bobby.
“No. You’re the one who wanted it. You chose the restaurant too.” says Lem.
“You’re a bastard!” yells Bobby.
Lem rolls his eyes. Sighs.
Midnight Snack by HOMESHAKE plays.
“Let’s get sexy!” says Bobby.
“What!?” says Lem.
“I wanna get sexy!” says Bobby.
“Let’s go get dinner.” says Lem.
“No. I wanna get sexy now.” says Bobby.
“Nope. We’re going to dinner.” says Lem.
So Bobby is carted out kicking and screaming by angels. Lem follows, smirking cautiously.
Once they’re at the restaurant…they sit at the table and eat.
“I want the roasted duck. And the Cabernet.” says Bobby, grinning.
“I’ll have water.” says Lem.
“I’ll have water.” says Bobby, changing his mind.
Cannon In D from “Classical New Age Piano Music” plays.
“So. What do you do for a living?” says Lem.
“I’m me.” says Bobby Kennedy Junior.
“Wow.” says Lem.
The two sit and drink their water. Staring.
“Why aren’t you acting gay?” Bobby finally asks.
“Hmm?” asks Lem.
“Why aren’t you acting gay?” asks Bobby.
“I’m not gay.” says Lem.
“Oh! I get it. Okay. You’re a tough man. You have a hardened heart like me.” says Bobby.
“Nope.” says Lem.
They sit in silence.
Later.
SING by Jon Batiste plays.
“Let’s get heroin.” says Lem.
Bobby hesitates for a moment. He laughs.
“No. I’m over that.” says Bobby.
“Why?” asks Lem.
“It’s…dangerous.” says Bobby.
“We should get some anyway.” says Lem.
“I don’t want to get heroin.” says Bobby.
“Here.” says the waitress. She hands Bobby heroin in a crystal needle with platinum on an Edwardian sterling silver tray.
“That’s the world’s best heroin. Straight from China.” says Lem.
“Cool, Lem. I think I’ll use it.” says Bobby.
He shoots up.
A Kiss To Build A Dream On by Louis Armstrong plays.
Bobby looks high. He slumps in his seat. He looks stupid and hazy.
“Tell me about yourself.” says Lem.
Bobby makes a confused face.
“What’s your favorite color?” asks Lem.
“Green.” says Bobby.
“Want more?” asks Lem.
“No. I’ll die.” says Bobby.
They sit in silence.
“You’re a fucking prick.” says Bobby to Lem.
And at that Lem stabs a fork into Bobby’s hand.
St. James Infirmary by Allen Toussaint plays.
They sit in silence. Bobby with his head on the table and bleeding to death.
“Welp! I’m going home.” says Lem. He stands-up and walks-off.
Bobby’s ghost?
