“I’ll buy my own chocolate, but I definitely think we need to get chocolate from a nice French place somewhere or just anywhere.” says Lacey.

“You know what? I don’t need chocolate right now so just buy yourself some chocolate tomorrow or you know what that’s no that’s not quite right. Right. I know of-I know I know a place near the train station! Let’s get up early and go get some chocolate! Coffee…chocolate. We’ll just make like a breakfast of it. So that we’re parting on peaceful terms.” she says.

She smiles. Smirks, ironically. And thinks. Looks sad. Thoughtful.

“What makes you happy?” she asks.

Lacey takes a deep breath.

“You know what? I have observed you over the course of our relationship. And I don’t think that you know, as well as most people what makes you happy because I don’t think you pay attention to that sort of thing or if you do, it’s in an entirely different way than I would and I think what makes you happy is art.” she says.

“You’re right it is art.” says Lacey. “And men.”

They laugh together slightly.

“Well, I guess it doesn’t work entirely. But-“ says Lacey.

“That’s fine um we’ll just keep going.

Honestly I think you should probably do something with art. I don’t think whatever other ideas you have are gonna work because I don’t think you’re entirely the person that you think you are.” she says.

“You know I am- I know I am that person but then that’s kind of terrifying.” says Lacey.

“God I don’t get it.

As a feminist this scene is happy to me because I see that you see what I see. But it just pisses me off because she’s straight this other woman is straight…and I don’t even know if I’m allowed in Heaven as I am, and it just makes me angry…and I just need to tell you that. Lacey finds a busy street and catches the taxi there. A few people watch her.

Seeing the bystanders Mrs. Chris Dodds backs off. But it’s still on her record.
