You know…I really wasn’t attracted to men. So everything you’ve read about me…should be viewed through that lens. …That I was molested as a young teenager, got very confused…and sincerely believed I was homosexual. Actually…I was bisexual, in my understanding of myself, but I didn’t believe in bisexuality. Jack “supported” me…but my decision was to be gay, even though I was attracted to women. I found that more honorable than being married, like him. And…we initially fought about it. Because he felt it was stupid, wrong and weird to be with men. …But in reality I was straight. Truly straight. …Incredibly confused and Jack Kennedy was actually bisexual. That’s the truth. And things have gotten so dark in the world that God is allowing me to share this with you from the grave.
Lacey’s brain allows her to see us. And hear us. VERY CLEARLY.
…You know…she’s a big fan of a group of paranormal detectives in Minnesota. And…I KNOW if she went on their visits with them…some of the actual ghosts they talk to…would talk to her. Introduce themselves. And actually try to start conversations. Like real conversations. …Partially because of me. They know we’re together. And…God often gives ghosts grace to approach her because they feel…as though she’s sort of on both sides. …She has had LOVELY visits to old places with me. And actually a few of them have expressed that they missed her after we left. We’re really just people, if we’re real ghosts. You’re not supposed to talk to us for extremely good reasons…but Lacey can’t help but talk to us. It’s involuntary. No, she’s not schizophrenic. …She’s in a rare situation.
But anyhow she can’t help them. …We often pray for them because both Lacey and I empathize with their genuine curiosity. But it isn’t safe. …She can coo-berate that many of their locations around Minnesota do seem to be haunted in the exact way they capture it on camera. There is a woman at the Grant House Hotel who talked with Lacey and at length and she was allowed to talk to the paranormal investigators briefly. She’s very polite and caring and…she still cries…thinking about Lacey’s life, to be honest. …She worked at the hotel. It was very important to her. … A lot of the ghosts at that hotel are very saddened by the state of things in the local economy and how badly it’s all been in that area for a while now. …But a few of them are from the original building and are from poor families…and…are very tough…and…they don’t have as much fear or sadness about it all as they feel it’ll change someday or it won’t matter anyway.
…Here’s my question: WHY AM I THE FIRST MAN TO SHOW LACEY LOVE? …Louis did too, I guess. …But…I think…I’m the first to actually listen to her. Louis listened. He cares. I know he cares! Scott did too…I suppose. But…I’m the only one she heard. She couldn’t hear either of them really listening. So…I’m the only man she’s ever experienced that with. Yes, I’m ghost but she knows I care in that way…or something like it. And I care more than she knows. …But I can’t figure it out! …Why haven’t any of the living men she’s ever met been able to take time to listen? …And no I don’t mean just being a good listener…I mean…being truly interested in what she’s saying. I’m in love with her. But…would you have to be? No. I doubt it. …When I listen it’s intimate, of course…but I think a man could listen without being romantic or sexual at all. …Yet…why no man who’s found her attractive has tried this astounds me.
She makes mention of a young man who had feelings for her in college named Joel. …Joel could have listened like I do. …I’m extremely attracted to her…and it’s not that difficult to just listen and be attracted to her at the same time. Actually…it works well! …Maybe Putin has listened if there’s an Illuminati. Ha! …But why can’t more of you? …Yes, her beauty is distracting but…for a man like Joel that shouldn’t have been a problem. …So what if you want to kiss her more after listening? …Why is that a problem!? …For my generation it wasn’t. …And I didn’t think you all had a problem with that? …But it seems like with her…Lem feel like they’re losing too much control or power if they actually listen to her. …I am strong…and I suppose Vladimir Putin is too…yet I just can’t quite…imagine…that we’re the only men who could stand to try to truly care.

“Lem what are your theories??” says the witch.
*I smile.* They’re scared of something. …And I know part of it is her intelligence. …But I’m a little worried it’s US. Me…Joe…Elliott… You get the idea. …I think some rare men don’t care as much. Like Putin. But…I worry men can actually sense our presence but can’t make any sense of it…and have mislabeled it as something wrong with her. Like that she’s cold or uptight. …Men have told her she’s uptight. But she isn’t. …And then once at a club she was out with friends and a guy started heavily flirting with her…and suggested they go…hook-up. But she said, “Well this is more of a just a girl’s night.” And…I’d not have assumed ANYTHING from that but he instantly thought she was practically engaged, got very freaked-out, and looked…sad. And said, “That’s good! Good for you! Way to say faithful!” …And before she could respond much at all he quickly grabbed his friends and ran off. …I know Joe did say something to him in his spirit to get him to go away…but…we’re ghosts. …And she was 23!! And very single. …And I know Joe merely said something like, “You should go.” …Are you all terrified of us? Not as ghosts…but as men? Is it generational?!? …We’re not necessarily supposed to feel older. Not really. Not like that.
The witch thinks. “Are you worried about us?” she says, laughing.
“Yes! …My discussion is about Lacey. But yes!” says Lem. “I am actually.”
“What do you worry about?” she says.
“Why are you so bashful? …What existential threat do you all see that I don’t? …See what I mean? …Which is why I’m worried it’s me. And has been other men and me in the past. …And if that’s true…it’s part of the reason why God has allowed her to be with me, before death. …Because it’s unlivable. …It’s psychologically impossible. …She could have died…but she got married and had kids to honor God. And so…now…it’s impossible. …So yes, I’m considering a great many theories. Look…just think about it. What is it? Because…a lot of dead people want to know. And I can tell them…but they want your response. If you’re going to try to interact with us.” says Lem.
“Jack made us louder.” explains Joe Kennedy Junior. “And I used that to flirt with her. But…he’s right. It’s something else too. And it’s not just her. Nor some veil. No. …Some people who lived in the Middle Ages are worried there’s a spirit of death. And you all are too close to death. …So you’re all hearing us louder than you should be able to. …We’d say this started in the 1980’s. So…some of us think it’s Global Warming. But…there’s lots of ideas.”
