“You’ve Got What I Want” by Lem

“I thought you had my ideal life.” says Casi to Lacey.

“I didn’t.” says Lacey.

“What was the deal with the ring?” asks Casi.

“You seemed petty. I was mocking your pettiness.” says Lacey. “Because it was stupid.”

She laughs.

“I get it.

So…you said your beef was barely with me. Is that actually true? …I’ve never believed it. But-“ says Casi.

“Yes. It’s true.” says Lacey.

“Okay. But I had a beef with you. I was angry at you. So I assumed it was mutual.” says Casi. “So…you…were pissed off that Nancy was doing what?”

“You did it too.

I’d post photos of my trip to the Bahamas. Which cost thousands of Dollars. And was quite…posh. …And then you’d post a photo of yourself on a cruise. A cruise. …Cruises are cheap. And you just hung out in the coast off Florida.” says Lacey. “What the Hell!? …Or I’d post my $80,000 car and you’d post or Nancy would post a $10,000 car. And you’d all be doing that to compete. …But it irritated me.” says Lacey.

“Because the numbers are WAY off?” says Casi.

“YES!

Like…WHAT!?” says Lacey.

Casi laughs.

“That’s really what bothered you!?” she says.

“HOW do you not know…that that’s not a real comparison!?” says Lacey.

“Lacey. That’s…not the idea.” says Casi.

“You’re not as wealthy as me. Why do you insult me by suggesting you are!?” says Lacey. “It’s an insult. To all of humanity.”

“Technically. And she means technically.” says Lem.

“So your confidence is just based on facts?” says Nancy.

“NO FUCKING SHIT!!” yells an old money woman from Minnesota.

Silence.

“Was Scott old money?” asks Nancy.

“Yes. And no.” says Zelda.

“OH FUCK!!” yells David Pitts. “I’m AN IDIOT!!!”

“Because you lied and made up certainty that didn’t exist?” asks the CIA of his spirit.

“YES.” he says.

“Was Lem even gay?” says the CIA.

David Pitts grows very serious. Quiet.

“He might not have been. Huh?” says the CIA.

“Why can’t I assume he was!?” he says in irritation. He sighs.

“Because you never really knew. Nobody really did.” says the CIA.

“No!!! …You can’t make me do that!!!” he says in a whiny voice, irritated.

“Why? It’s the truth.” says the CIA.

“Because…I’m sure he was gay!” he says.

“No. You’re not.” says the CIA.

“Fine. There was and is some doubt among…certain people-“ he says.

“Like his family!” says the CIA.

“Maybe.” he says.

“So yes.” says the CIA.

“Mm. …Yeah.” he says finally. “They tell people what you want to hear. They’re very patronizing. …And secretive. …And patronizing.”

“So…you want him to be gay?” says the CIA.

“If he isn’t gay…we lose JFK.” he says.

“That’s okay!!” says a gay Jewish comedian. “That’s fine!!”

“No. It’s not!!” he says.

“Why!? Jack was clearly bisexual.” says Joe Biden.

“He could have been.” he says coyly.

“NO. HE WAS!!!” says Lacey.

“Then I’m not a real historian.” says David Pitts. He’s annoyed.

“Well. Maybe you aren’t!” bites a Minnesotan.

“I can’t handle hearing that.” he says. “My ego can’t handle it.”

“Okay. But maybe you did mess up.” says the CIA.

“I can’t handle hearing that!!” he says in his spirit.

“Well…what if…Jack was bisexual!?” says a man.

“And Lem was straight? And…psychologically disturbed?” he says.

“YES!!” says Putin.

“Then Jack took advantage of him!!” says David Pitts, clutching his pearls.

“Yeah! Imagine that! That Jack as a narcissist…took advantage of someone!” says a man, who’s young, laughing. He’s amused.

“Okay. But he did take advantage of people.” says a feminist.

“Whatever!” says David Pitts. “It’s JFK!”

“So he’s allowed!?” says the CIA.

“Yes.

Yes.

Louis Bayard writes about that.

…It’s a dirty little secret.

…Gay men…aren’t as backward as most Americans. We understand!!!” he says.

“Understand what!?” asks the DNC.

“SEX! We-

You can’t pin us down like that!” he says.

“In monogamy!?” says the CIA.

“Mmm. I wouldn’t call it monogamy so much as stupidity!” he says, smirking.

“But you mean monogamy?” says the CIA.

“Yeah.” he says, feeling uncomfortable.

“So…there’s a widely held belief in the queer community that monogamy is dumb?” asks the CIA.

“I wouldn’t say that!!!” he says, getting scared.

“Except there is!!” says a Republican. “And some of us think you’re all just lunatics. With a congenital orientation condition.”

“I mean…I can be monogamous!” he says.

“Can you?” asks the Republican.

“Yeah.” he says.

“Then why? Why do you pretend otherwise?” asks the CIA.

“TO BE COOL! IT’S NARCISSISTIC!!!” says Lacey.

“I’m not narcissistic!!!” he says.

“FUCK!” says Rosie O’Donnell.

“Jesus CHRIST!” says a feminist.

“You are- You seem like one?” says a liberal psychic, tentatively.

He’s very offended. “NO! I’m not narcissistic!”

“But it’s narcissistic to cheat that way.” says the CIA.

“Yeah. So maybe all homosexuals are just narcissistic.” says a Republican, sincerely.

“I’M NOT A NARCISSIST!!” he says, aghast.

Awkward silence.

“Monogamy is natural. And healthy. And stable. And good.” says a female celebrity in California.

He smirks. “I’d never be so boring and stupid…and bourgeois!!”

“It’s not bourgeois.” says the female celebrity. “It’s normal.”

He cries. “Well I’m not normal!! I’m GAY!!” he says.

“So…homosexuals can’t be in stable monogamous relationships?” asks the Republican. “And it’s not a real relationship? You’re all just batshit crazy freaks?”

Awkward silence.

“Soo…” says a liberal young man.

“You TRAITORS!!!” yells David Pitts.

“David. …The homosexual community does have a problem with sexual dysfunction. It’s widespread. Many of us have noted that. And it’s not something to be proud of but some of the more toxic members of our community can be problematic. It’s insecurity on their part. As men. They think promiscuity compensates for their homosexuality and self-perceived lack of masculinity. …Or they use masculine stereotypes of promiscuity as a crutch to avoid getting close to their lovers and creating real intimacy. …Obviously monogamy is normal and healthy and I think saying otherwise is suspicious. It’s an immediate intellectual red flag for me. Kind of like saying everyone is bisexual. …They aren’t. …I’m a gay man who’s been in a monogamous, committed relationship for decades. It’s not abnormal. …I’m not unhappy. …It takes…luck. And maturity. …You have to be fortunate enough to find the right person…and you have to be able to appreciate them wholly.” he says.

“Can you?” asks the Republican. “Because I wonder sometimes if homosexuals cheat because you’re secretly unfulfilled. …You cheat because you’re secretly BORED by being with the same gender. …You’re essentially with yourself. …And that’s lonely. And BORING.”

Awkward silence.

“So you cheat. Because you’re BORED.” says the Republican.

Awkward silence.

“No.” he says. “No. Umm…no. No. …No.” he says. “It’s…just a huge dynamic of…dysfunctional relationships. Within the community. We’re not…incapable of love. …I mean that’s essentially what you’re saying. And honestly…Jack might have been. …And what scares me is that the narcissistic personality disorders in the community could easily be our loudest voices. …But they don’t represent me. And…they’re easily destroying my life!” he says.

Awkward silence.

“I’m not disinterested in monogamy!!! WHY…just because I’m gay…do I HAVE TO BE? To fit in? Why!?!” he says. “And don’t tell me I’m demi sexual. I’m not!!!”

“Yeah. It’s bullshit. That slut shit? Totally popular. Total shit.” says Rosie.

“I think you’re all just trying to be aristocratic. And you don’t understand that.” says Chris Hayes. “Lacey is what you’re trying to be.”

“I can’t handle hearing that!” says a gay male perfume collector.

Rosie O’Donnell laughs.

“What is she!?” asks a perfume creator.

“She stays when it’s right to stay. Leaves when she should.” says Louis Hill Junior.

“Does she cheat?” says a gay man.

“No. But you can’t take advantage of her.” says Lem. “And it’s not selfishness it’s a sense of…justice.”

“What if you’re just not aroused by your partner anymore?” asks a gay man.

“Why? There’s always a reason why.” says Lem.

“Yeah.” he says.

“You just have to figure it out.” says Lacey.

“I mean that’s true.” says the CIA.

Silence.

“Jack wasn’t…gay.” says David Pitts.

Silence.

“He wasn’t gay!!!” says David Pitts.

“Could he have been bisexual?” asks an aging starlet.

Awkward silence.

“NO!” says David Pitts.

“Why?” she says.

Awkward silence.

“Because-

I mean…he’s obviously involved with Lem. And I’m not sure what that makes him.” says David Pitts with an air of mystery and melancholy. “Ahh…I mean I guess people could call that bisexual. But…”

“Because it is bisexual.” says Jim Carrey.

David Pitts looks angry.

“I mean he was bisexual.” says Jim Carrey.

David Pitts looks offended. He sighs. Looks irritated.

Awkward silence.

“Do you find women attractive?” asks Jim Carrey.

David Pitts laughs. “On occasion.”

“Huh.

So…maybe you’re bisexual too.” says Jim Carrey. “But you prefer men. Usually.”

“That’s too simple!!” says David Pitts. “You can’t simplify things that way!”

“Oh. But you can. And should.” says Jim Carrey.

David Pitts looks thoughtful and yet uneasy.

“You’re mostly gay. But you’re technically bisexual. And so was JFK.” says Jim Carrey.

“If you want to be…

I mean…

Okay!?!” says David Pitts.

“Yeah. It’s reality.

Why do you have a problem with reality?” asks Jim Carrey.

“WHAT!?” says Mr. Pitts.

“Yeah. For real. Why? You seem…arrogant and delusional.” says Jim Carrey. “And if we’re reading you correctly…you are. …I’m sure you’re a nice person too. People are complex! …But really…you seem stupid as fuck.” says Jim Carrey. “I mean it’s OBVIOUS he was bisexual. …It’s not that freaking mysterious. You’re way over-complicating it. …Why!? Why make it something it isn’t?”

“Because I want him to be straight.” admits David Pitts.

“Yeah.

WHY!?” says Jim Carrey. “Do you fantasize about being with a straight dude?” He thinks. “Is it a fetish?”

“I mean…slightly.

There’s something sexy about that to me.

…But I think it’s the Kennedy mystique. …Making JFK bisexual ruins their entire identity.” he admits. “And I don’t like them as much if Jack is bisexual. They seem less…beautiful.”

“We’ve struck gold.” says the CIA. “We’ve been trying to get someone to explain this.”

“So you need the Kennedys to be homosexual or it ruins their whole image!?!” says the GOP.

“Yes. To them.

And what’s funny is that monarchy was never like that. …But this is America.” says Lacey.

“So you don’t need that Lacey?” asks a man.

“No! To be honest, they never seemed all that straight to me. Not in reality.” says Lacey.

“Right from the beginning?” asks a woman.

“I mean, that’s the popular narrative that’s what you’re supposed to think but in all actuality in my subconscious I don’t think I necessarily ever thought that of them that way because it hasn’t been a huge transition for me to think of them as bisexual almost all of them. I think I noticed that they were bisexual the first time I saw them and I was brainwashed into thinking otherwise.” says Lacey.

King Charles III nods.

“Jack looks bisexual. His whole aesthetic is bisexual. Michael Rockefeller looks bisexual too. Frankly, I think a lot of women get confused by that because they don’t expect to think of bisexual could be attractive to them. They think that a bisexual man would seem feminine and unappealing. But that’s not the case. Michael to me is very attractive and Jack is a good looking man in his own way. It’s not really good looking and Michael actually kind of was, but Jack wasn’t without his clothes on to be blunt. I’ve seen pictures. But that’s the thing so Jack was good looking with his clothes on and his hair done well and with the right glasses sunglasses. and they do appeal to women who are straight. Just the same as straight men would. And they’re capable supposedly and from my experience, they probably are of being with a woman and being happy being with a woman. That doesn’t mean what people think it means, bisexuality. Or some people anyway. I think people get confused. They’re probably plenty of bisexual women who are very pretty toowho confuse men. And I wonder sometimes if there are some people who identify as lesbians who actually are bisexual, but don’t understand themselves.

I am straight. I’m not talking about myself. Try to keep up.

So I think that that’s possibly what so confusing to people Jack does seem masculine and attractive to women, but that doesn’t mean that he was straight.” says Lacey.

“What!?” says David Pitts, sincerely. Half smiling.

“So I don’t think that you quite understand. Jack could easily have been a babe magnet and have played sports and shaved and worn cool clothes that look straight to you. They don’t me, but to you, they do. And yet been attracted to men too.” says Lacey.

Baffled silence.

“Lacey, I don’t think some people understand bisexuality for real.” says a woman in Europe.

“I never would have slept with men or women or children nor anyone else. I mean you can’t sleep with children really but I wouldn’t have done anything to anyone or been with anyone or tried to be with an animal. I would’ve just been faithful to Lacey.” says Michael Rockefeller.

Silence.

“I gotta say I think America was pretending to be a lot more sophisticated than it is.” says Maggie.

“Do you think that they like that aesthetic?” says Hailey Mills.

“Yes I think America secretly has always liked the bisexual aesthetic of the Kennedy family. But I don’t think they knew that consciously, but I kind of think that they secretly have always liked that aesthetic.” says Lacey.

“Yes…I would agree with that!” says Katherine Hepburn.

Silence.

“So Lacey I don’t think we really were supposed to be talking about this which is interesting.” says a young man.

“Yes…let’s talk to Casi. Casi, you’re gonna have to stop avoiding being accountable because if there is no illuminati, they need you to be accountable.” says a woman.

“So Lacey I don’t think you quite understand. I would have been competing with you because I didn’t think that I had as much as you, but I thought that what I had would be enough to make someone who was insecure, feel insecure.” says Casi. “So you were supposed to feel insecure because I thought you were insecure, even though you’re clearly not at all. I thought you were we all did and so I was just assuming that even though it wasn’t equal to what you had that it would bother you.”

“No it didn’t bother me. It irritated me that you thought they were the same thing.” says Lacey.

“And it seems like I actually thought that?” she says.

“Yes…it was terrifying because it’s like how could someone be that confused? It’s scary as heck!” says Lacey.

“No, I didn’t think that!

I know that’s hard for you to believe and you don’t have to. You don’t have to believe you don’t have to believe that you can think I’m just weird or something, but I actually did know that.” says Casi.

“You know, I didn’t know that necessarily because it seemed like you really thought they were the same thing.” says Lacey.

“No…I actually really thought that they were basically the same thing in a sense but not like the same thing in the sense that you’re right what you did was probably far more elite than what I did and I knew that.” says Casi.

“Okay.

Yeah, I don’t quite believe you, but I’m I’m entertaining the possibility that you actually knew what you were seeing.” says Lacey.

“OK so that’s interesting so we were irritating to you because we seemed like we didn’t know what we were talking about but aside from that you didn’t give a shit at all?” says Casi.

“Yes…yes and things like that bother me because I really care about stuff and so it seemed like you were just incapable of understanding reality.” says Lacey.

“So no that’s not what happened.” says Casi. “The idea is that you’re supposed to feel like even though what you have is better that there’s something about what I have that’s threatening to you because your insecure in some way.”

“So you guys were trying to find out what I was insecure about?” says Lacey.

“Yes!” says Franny.

“OK well there isn’t anything.” says Lacey.

“OK.” says the perfume community.

“Yeah I guess that’s normal.” says Monika.

“Yeah…I’m a normal healthy person and you guys are just a bunch of insecure, petty, shallow peasant twats or what?” says Lacey.

“OK, that is interesting.

I don’t think people who are in the lower class, even like her neighbors understand that she’s not insecure and that it’s possible that that actually is an old money thing that old money raises their children to be more secure than people realize. And so when you have that in your background, there’s sort of some sort of training that they give you genuinely psychologically to be more secure as a person.” says George Bush. “ There are plenty of people who are old money and insecure, but it’s it’s frowned upon. You’re not supposed to be that weak.”

“ OK.” says Casi. “ so you were really just correcting the entire community like a teacher who is really irritated by our enormous mistake and you were just trying to explain to us that we don’t really know what’s going on and that this is what is going on and you’re trying to diagram it?”

“ Yes!” says Lacey.

“ that’s scary!” says Casi.

“ why!?!” yells God, irritated.

“ because that’s kind of what we were afraid of and we’re avoiding that.” says Casi.

“ if that’s what you’re doing I knew that and I know that and I’m incredibly angry. Because all you had to do was just deal with that and the entire world would be different if there is an illuminati.” says God. “ there are people who know that should that be true who say that her maid who she had first is what prompted the entire thing just like there are some people who wanna blame Queen Victoria for World War II and that’s an interesting hypothesis. We can go down that road at some point, but I want you to take accountability for what you guys didn’t do in the community and you’re not the only person Casi you think you are but truthfully in a way you don’t and it’s true there were dozens of other people who were attacking her and still are.”

“ so if she’s not insecure, then her coldness is just her personality?” says her neighbor.

“ yes she’s afraid of you. You scare her. It’s not insecurity.

She’s hyper aware of people think of her because she’s been sadistically bullied her whole life. So she’s vigilant and shy and cautious because you scare her like a thug.

Don’t get me wrong. She’s not afraid to defend herself if she had to, but that’s what you’re dealing with. It’s not insecurity. She’s not insecure. There’s nothing she’s hiding. There’s nothing that she is genuinely ashamed of about herself.” says Matt Nesheim.

“ I don’t think we want Jack because he’s not actually as good looking as Lem in a way. Lamb was a handsome man and it’s more natural. Jack does look more forced and there’s something about it. That seems very homosexual and so we don’t find him as exciting.” says David Pitts. “ it’s self hatred.”

“ thank you for admitting that so you guys don’t want Jack to be the one who’s actually gay because you don’t like yourselves and you know them is probably straight, but you pretend otherwise to a psychotic degree because your adamantly opposed to who you are?” says the CIA.

“Yes.” says David Pitts.

“ there’s something rough about them. It’s not that he’s a rapscallion pirate or whatever the hell it is that I became up with. There’s something more gruff and masculine and straight about him. Jack seems more refined and bisexual and that’s just the way it is.” says a gay man.

“ so why are you so like intense?” says Casi to Lacey.

“ I don’t entirely know what you mean.” says Lacey.

“ I couldn’t handle the conversation you were having. I really couldn’t handle it!” says Terese, Lacey’s legal aunt.

Lacey sighs.

“ yeah and I would’ve said, ‘But now it seems like you’re angry!’” says Terese.

“ why are you trying to make me be somebody that I’m not? I kind of think my real personality is hard for you to accept because it makes you feel insecure and stupid and comparison to me.” says Lacey.

Terese is stunned.

“ you’ve accused me of being controlling but I think you are. I’m sorry I wanna talk about something that you can’t talk about your majesty!” says Lacey. “And then I would’ve taken my family and said, ‘So you’re kind of a bitch!’ and left.”

Matthew Nesheim laughs.

“ I do the same thing to her Terese we actually do that to Lacey and our whole family. We did it to Matthew too.” says a woman in the Nesheims.

“ we have a hard time with people in our family, who are threatening to us Terese and I think you fooled yourself into thinking that it’s something else.” says Mark Nesheim.

“ yeah I I hear you. You needed to talk about that cause it was bothering you. I’m talking to you from the afterlife right now. And I couldn’t handle that conversation. Because you were talking about people in our family who I identified with in a way that I don’t identify with you.” says Terese. “ I can’t relate to you all that well and instead of just accepting that I’ve chosen to make it something negative. What couldn’t you understand?”

“ Chris, this this was what you cost by attacking her and I don’t think you knew what you were doing at the time and you can’t accept that because you don’t think you do anything wrong and hardly ever.” says the FBI so to speak.

“ so what couldn’t I understand? what was going on. I couldn’t figure out what was really going on with them with Rand and Jess, I couldn’t figure it out.

It it’s sort of like I couldn’t figure out why they were so on edge.” says Lacey.

“ what do you mean by on edge?” says a Nesheim.

“ they just seemed really kind of strung out for some reason like there was something that was just making them really touchy and I couldn’t figure out what it was.” says Lacey.

“ oh crap!” says Steve.

“ I have a tendency to make everything a competition Lacey, if I’m being honest. but you’re not thinking that way at all you’re just thinking why are they on edge?” says Terese.

“ yes.” says Lacey.

“ I mean, she had a bipolar disorder and she spends too much so they were having financial problems.” says Terese.

“ I got the sense that there was something else though.” says Lacey.

“ like what?” says Terese.

“ I don’t know. At this point I almost wanna say that there was something mentally off about Rand. Like some sort of depression or something like that I think that’s what I was searching for. Probably was something that was sort of below the surface that wasn’t really being discussed so it’s like there’s Jess’s mental health issues, but I could just sense it. There was something else that wasn’t really being discussed.” says Lacey.

“ and that is not stupid because Matthew killed himself trees so she’s probably right. They’re probably is something most likely in rand as well that isn’t being discussed or there’s just something what else Lacey were you thinking could be there?” says Jill Nesheim.

“ something wrong with your marriage something that goes beyond just her having an affair and her having mental health issues that there was something really deep and unsettling happening and honestly what I was worried about the more that you talked was that Stephen was not the father that he was pretending to be that he may be was more concerned about appearances than he seemed and that he was sort of forcing his children to be an unhappy marriages because he didn’t want to seem like a bad parent who raised kids with problems.” says Lacey.

“ that could all be true.” says Terese. “ Steph & Laureen may actually have that paranoia of being perceived as failures and I think that’s very possible Lacey that he really was trying to somehow project some sort of successful image and that ran and just stay together partially because of that.”

“ I mean, she just doesn’t seem like she’s really happy from what I remember of her. She didn’t seem like someone who was really happy being with him and he seemed like he was becoming increasingly unhappy himself and that was concerning to me.” says Lacey.

“ so you were trying to figure out if they were really unhappy and away that you hadn’t understood?” says Terese.

“ I think maybe yes.” says Lacey.

“ so if you’re not my cousin, I think that’s part of why it was so awkward and that’s not something Terese could handle. Because she could sense that there was something weird that you were processing and she just made wild assumptions instead of processing through with you and that’s really sad. Trees at that time and before then there were several second cousins in her family who found her attractive who are men who were in bad marriages. And she was trying to stay out of the way and kind of back away from them understandably because it was very weird and confusing for them to actually and that’s not her fault. And so she was trying to figure out now like what do I say to these people because I feel like there’s some sort of animosity towards me personally and I can’t figure out what’s going on. Because I did find her attractive and other people did too. It was something that had been talked about openly amongst the cousins that were my age. We used to tease her when she was a teenager. Very inappropriately at times.

And Mark Nesheim son used to play into that John because he picked up on it and he knew that it was an Achilles seal in our family and that it would be really embarrassing to a lot of people. And so there were several of us who may have found her attractive who she’s not necessarily related to at all, and we couldn’t quite figure out why we thought she was good looking because you know it was kind of weird because we didn’t find any of our other second cousins attractive, but it was it was different with her somehow and I mean so then when we were in bad marriages and we were you know Acting strange towards her that was very confusing and I think she may have been trying to figure out if she had done something that was offensive to rand and Jess. Because I mean she couldn’t figure out what was happening so it’s like did Rand find me attractive I don’t understand what’s going on because Jess was sort of fixated on her. Jess was fixated on her trees and so she started trying to figure out why. Jess used to read her blog and copy her and you know she would unfriend her on Facebook and at that time it was just kind of strange and it was just she was just weird. Jess was just very weird towards Lacey and so Lacey was trying to find ways to sort of explain to herself what was happening.

And you had no empathy for that at all.” says Matthew.

“ I I don’t think rand had a crush on her, but I think he admired her and I think it was maybe a trouble spot for Jess.” says Terese.

“ why?” says God. “ if that’s true, why?”

“Because I think she felt threatened by Lacey and I think it was hard for her.” says Terese.

“ why did Lacey specifically threaten her mom?” says Katie.

“ because Lacey isn’t a cool girl like you but she’s better looking than you and most people and there are other people in our family who are like that they’re not as good-looking as her but they’re challenging people for Jess. Or were.

Our family you’re right Lacey is old money in a way that I hadn’t quite understood and maybe still don’t and we were privileged in a way that I didn’t choose to perceive as real because I was so privileged. And so I didn’t anticipate just being insecure around you the way that she was, but she was very insecure and still is and a lot of people in our family threatened her because she’s not able to control us in a sense but she also isn’t able to feel accepted the way that she needs to feel. She’s Hispanic somewhat and our family isn’t necessarily racist, but we don’t see them as being as posh to be Frank as other people who are I’ve been more Nordic or northern European heritage. They’re not as socially acceptable. With exception, possibly of Jews, I would say anybody south of Germany, and France would probably be considered lesser. And that’s because that’s the strictest standards of society or were the restricted strictest standards of society for what’s perceived as posh and we adhered to that to some degree in our old money family and so that’s just reality and we were very persnickety and still are. It’s not something we would ever openly discuss, but there was an understanding, and I think she sensed that combined with the fact that she was not as prestigious as we wanted her to be. And our family you’re supposed to be really beautiful or really smart or really stable or really hard-working or really decent or really rich in your background you’re supposed to be something to fit in and she’s not as impressive as she thinks that she is and people in our family knew that and know that because we’re upper class And so we were unimpressed by her and she couldn’t handle that because she had a very deep seated, need to be accepted. It was very hard for her.” says Terese.

“ what did you guys do? Because in our family, we’ve treated Lacey like absolute shit often.” Says her father-in-law.

“ that’s interesting.

Probably nothing that serious was probably far more subtle just like we didn’t smile enough at her or we didn’t say enough things to her that were you know exciting or like we were proud of her or something. We probably never really actually did anything to make her feel unwanted openly at all.” says Terese.

“ and yet you pretended to be doing the opposite. On her blog, she writes often beating herself for not realizing that your family is just totally accepting of her and that she needs to just let go and enjoy being loved.” says the CIA.

“ yep that was the perception that we gave her because that’s the way we wanted to perceive ourselves and that’s what we wanted to pretend to be but in reality we were not impressed by her the way that we would’ve had to be to make her feel loved and accepted.” says Terese.

“ OK so basically she just saw me as a symbol of her rejection?” says Lacey.

“ yes probably. And so yeah everything that you wrote about them was really loud because they were so insecure.” says Terese. “ and then the fact that they were having financial problems just made the whole thing worse because it’s it just seemed like your family wasn’t and you’re not, but they really were.”

“ you know if you guys had realized that she was a smart as she is you would’ve been a lot colder to her.” says a woman.

“ OK OK so basically they just felt very insecure around me?” says Lacey.

“Yes.” says Terese.

“ I should not have gotten involved.” says Lacey.

Terese nods.

“ I think somehow I thought it was a neutral observational person who could offer advice to them, but I guess that’s not the case. I guess I was a little more involved than I realized. Like in their heads.” says Lacey.

“Yes.” says Terese.

“ yeah…they couldn’t handle hearing advice from you.” says Terese.

“ that’s hard to handle trees because I actually do care about people and it bothers me that there’s nothing I can do to help Rand.” says Lacey.

“Yeah.” says Stephen.

“ yeah because the more you say, that’s just adding fuel to the fire. Or was.” says Terese.

“ were you trying to figure out what was going on in their marriage so that you could figure out what to say on your blog?” says Stephen.

“ I think to some degree yes or what not to say.” says Lacey.

“ yeah that makes sense.” says Stephen.

“ because you didn’t wanna be offensive?” says Terese.

“ yes! I think I said too much already but it’s it’s sort of like I’m not even sure if it was helpful but if I knew more about what was really happening yeah I would know what to say or I just wouldn’t say anything at all.” says Lacey.

“ I mean, they fight a lot.” says Stephen.

“ but that doesn’t mean anything because the fighting could be happening for so many different reasons. I mean, it’s probably not a good thing but you know I’m sure as well that it’s not clear what that means.” says Lacey.

“ OK well I’m being Norwegian and how I’m saying it or something. I don’t mean that they fight a lot in the way that you’re taking it. I don’t mean they fight a lot and the way that you’re taking it. I’m trying to hint at something.” says Stephen.

“ what are you trying to hint at?” says Lacey.

“ sort of deeper issues.” says Stephen.

Lacey looks puzzled.

“ I think he’s trying to say Lacey that their marriage is like close to falling apart.” says Alys.

“ see I would think that if they’re still together that that can’t possibly be true.” says Lacey.

“ it is true though.” says someone.

Lacey thinks.

“ well hopefully it’ll work out for the best.” says Lacey.

“It could!” says Matt.

“ yeah!” says Matt’s dad.

“ well I hope it does too. That’s disturbing and I wish them well. Lacey I kind of think I’m supposed to be talking to you though and things have gotten totally derailed again.” says Casi.

“that ship that crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge is that connected to Jess and her family and things getting derailed?” says a reader.

“ and the gay rights community? Yes.” says Lem. “ that ship was built in 1981.”

“so the gay rights community manifested that?” says a woman.

“ yeah there could’ve been some ritualistic sacrifice or black magic happening there could’ve been nothing happening, but unfortunately, yes, the gay rights community did manifest that.” says Lem.

“ and Bobby.” says God.

“ Lacey praise for God to blow up her entire family very sincerely. And it’s real and she wouldn’t be so desperate and sure that she has to pray such a prayer if they weren’t withholding them and his energy from her constantly. She used to fall asleep, aware that he was there. They have tricked her nervous system into falling asleep too quickly so that she won’t experience his presence because they’re so jealous and yet psychotically detached from that jealousy that they’ve decided that it’s not jealousy and insecurity on their part and perversion, but rather that it’s insight and that they’re doing something good by restraining his energy from her. Her explanation that he thought he was gay and he wasn’t that isn’t even her explanation. It’s his is perfectly possible. There’s really nothing flaw about it at all, but they insist that there is because they can’t handle the reality of what they’re hearing. See to them. The last 50 years has been super positive so they have a vested interest in believing that there’s nothing wrong with the world and that progress is happening and that the narrative that’s popular now is less toxic and more healthy than anything that could’ve been thought or could be thought otherwise. They’re very attached to popular thinking Because that to them is safe because thinking right now is that they should be able to get married and have a family and be accepted and so they’re terrified that if we deviate from that that they’re gonna lose their rights and suddenly be rejected. But the reality is kind of the opposite, and they’re actually destroying themselves. Which is how that ship ended up doing what it did. they cannot actually fit under the Brooklyn Bridge, which is symbolic of Lem not really being gay. No this isn’t fake. That ship was erected 1981, which is obviously symbolic of him. If there’s reincarnation don’t get into it with the navy and ships, but obviously he’s connected to such things more than you realize really but also her family in the shipping industry in Great Britain. There could be something with that if Mel chooses to be her mother someday Mel may actually be her mother in someway or Rita is, but it’s unclear Because Mel is still alive, but it’s very possible that Mel will actually want her to be her daughter so there’s a lot there, but essentially Linn was straight and the ship is symbolic of that because it doesn’t fit the Brooklyn Bridge and so in a sense it’s kind of like the gay rights community is decapitating themselves They are essentially throwing themselves overboard. They are going back backwards and trying to fit under a bridge that doesn’t even make sense to go under and it’s just bizarre but instead of choosing to go forward, they’ve chosen to just go with the current of society instead of actually moving forward And I’m not sure why that ship manifested entirely, but there could be some connection unfortunately to the Hispanic community and Jess and her family and Brooklyn would be connected to Chris Hayes and his family. There could be other things happening as well, but yes if there’s an illuminati, unfortunately that was manifested and there are people who are dead who are presumably with God, but should not be dead right now.

I have to ask them did you die on impact or did you drown?” says an Illuminati psychic.

“ do you guys know what you’re doing? I just I’m starting to wonder if this illuminati really understands the whole manifesting thing like you guys understand like do you have like control of the situation or are you kind of like not doing well handling control issues?” says a reader.

“ some of us are better than others.” says a psychic.

“ so yeah, but getting back to what we’re supposed to be talking about as much as this is actually really interesting. Is there something genetically real life is too tall to be gay?” says Casi.

“ the way that he’s built the answer is actually yes and that’s from an expert genesis from World War II. I’m a Nazi.” says a dead Nazi.

“ so they’re really a something about his his frame that is not almost ever anything other than hetero?” says Elon Musk.

“ yes!” says the Nazi.

“ And Joe was straighter than Jack and Joe was taller?” says a man.

“ yes and actually in their case there is something to that genetically.” says the Nazi.

“ OK but getting back to what I’m talking about… you were supposed to feel insecure Lacey and not disinterested. Hearing that you’re disinterested is kind of shocking to me and if I accept that… i’m gonna start to think you had a really hard life and that you’re just trying to stand up for yourself.” says Casi.

“ But that’s exactly what was happening.” says Lacey.

“ and then I’m gonna have to start engaging more with you about perfume and OK.

So what went wrong in your life like, where did you screw up or what happened?” says Casi. “ That’s what I would be wondering or what I would’ve wondered eventually.”

“ yeah.

I I don’t entirely know, but I think it had something to do with a sort of double whammy. There are very few men alive who I could’ve dated. Like really genuinely dated. And I didn’t know how to find them or how to sort of perceive them when they arrived. I would have probably done a lot better, but I didn’t have anyone helping me and I was figuring it all for myself out for myself and I made some big mistakes. I made some very wise decisions too, but I also made some very big mistakes.” says Lacey.

“ what did you what did you do wrong?” says Casi.

“ I misunderstood what was going on in the head of guys who were interested in me.

In older generations, I wouldn’t have been as confused and that’s why it’s a double whammy. But in guys in our generation or older, I didn’t really know how to understand them when they were actually interested so the guys that were really sincere scared me because they seemed dangerous or violent or scary in someway and I registered that has them being sincerely dangerous and I mean better be better to be safe than sorry but I didn’t know what I was looking at, and I tried to talk about it with my counselors and they were not helpful at all. They were actually incredibly unhelpful and destructive, but they were so bad that I realized that they were bad and then I was able to use some of the things that they’ve said to me to kind of help guide me into understanding that that they were wrong.

So some of them had a problem with me and I think if I had dated the guys that were actually interested in me, I would’ve figured out what their problem was eventually. Most of the guys who are really sincerely interested in me had something about them. That was a little more prestigious to be honest or a little bit more of an advantage in their intelligence or something I mean, even the person that married is like that, then average men, and so there are some men who were really mean to me at times Who I think hated me because of who I represented to them because they were misogynist and they hated not my intelligence, but my femininity, and my sweetness and my dizziness, because they were smart enough to know who I would likely marry, and they hated those men. Those men made them feel very insecure. And so they attacked me and acted like I was in an immoral, awful horrible person because they couldn’t handle the men that I represented. I mean, they were angry at the men that they perceived that I was associated with which really is incredibly misogynistic. I mean, I’m my own person. I’m not just the man who I’m connected to, but these were men. These are misogynist. These were liberals who were faking being feminist and progressive essentially, and so they pretended to think that they were you know, respectful of me , but really they couldn’t divorce me from the men that they associated me with and that’s who they hated and so being cowards and bullies and phony, they took it out on me instead of actually having a real discussion with the people who actually bothered them.” says Lacey.

“ OK so it’s the guys that you’ve talked about on this blog?” says Casi.

“ yes Joel there were other people too, though. I mean, actually you could even point out Dr. Moritz I would say that there are a few men who were unkind towards me who probably would have a beef with him as well. And I don’t know how they sense this about me and I never really got into any serious relationship with him that was clear but he was interested in me and that that really is that really is exactly what I think that they were I think it’s possible that that’s what they were reacting to were these men who they really hated and wanted to have a fight with but instead they used me as a proxy and a very cowardly bullying way because they’re weak and they couldn’t win.” says Lacey.

“ OK well that’s interesting.

So you don’t lack self-awareness in that way or like in a sense of self really at all you just don’t know how people perceive you and you might have an issue with self-awareness in that way but it’s really just how other people perceive you. So you are not like me there’s no way you’re just going to go find somebody at this point.” says Casi.

“ it’s extremely unlikely. I’m more like a panda or a bald eagle or a swan in that way there are some people who just don’t have that capacity to just go randomly find people and I’m one of them so no it’s it’s very unlikely and I actually knew that that was the reason why I started collecting perfume and writing about it. It was a distraction. It was a distraction, and it was my way of coping with The fact that I was stuck in a very miserable life in that way.” says Lacey.

“ so you really know because of how perceptive you are that it’s gonna be basically impossible for you to find somebody?” says a lesbian.

“ I would say the chances are probably less than 5%. I would say they’re extremely slim.” says Lacey.

“ I mean, that could be true. People need to stop gaslighting you and disparaging what you’re saying because it’s so overwhelming and sad.” she says.

“ yeah we really did ruin her life. I’ve said that and it’s real.” says Satan.

“ so the only things that she did were to just be ignorant?” says Jill Schiebel.

“ yeah and we kept her unaware. It wasn’t even something she could do anything about.” says Satan. “ Jill, some people have a terrible life and there’s nothing they can do about it. You’re very naïve to think otherwise.”

“ my whole generation is stupid in that way.” says Terese Janovec from the grave in the future.

“ yeah you guys were you guys were really overly hopeful to the point of psychosis or some something really detrimental.” Says a Gen. z woman.

“ so her only real option if I’m understanding this correctly is to just be with the dead?” says a gay man. “ and she’s trying to do that and we’re stopping her because we think we know better?”

“ bingo!” says God.

“ and the Kennedys are sort of like our fuel or like what role do they have in our delusional sense of authority over her?” he says.

“ they are the wind beneath your wings. They are the wind beneath your wings.” says God.

Later.

“If I had done this…I’d have…decided to get my PhD. And commit suicide by age 35 or 50…if I never found love.” says Lacey.

“Why was finding love so important to you?” asks a psychic.

Lights Are On by Tom Rosenthal plays.

“Because nothing else matters.” says Lacey. “Kids are a byproduct of love. Or they’re unhappy. Life…is WORTHLESS without love. I’m sorry. If you haven’t figured that out…you’re…just waiting to eventually.”

The song plays.

“That was the plan.

Write about perfume as I waited to die.” says Lacey. “But…I assumed people were far more deep and perceptive than they are, sadly.”

The song plays.

“You were supposed to…feel…I was…more fortunate than most people. But that it was shallow. …And horrifically sad.” says Lacey. “That was my entire point. You were never supposed to want to be me. Not like that! …Maybe you were supposed to feel…envious of my…money. I guess. …But…that’s all. Certainly not…wanting to BE ME. …It was…never supposed to be…desirable. It was a funeral durge. …You weren’t supposed feel…envy. Not really!”

“Lacey and I are opposites.

I knew people would never understand. I underestimated humanity. In that way. …It’s why I felt love was…so rare. The kind of love I have with her. It’s why I tolerated and embraced the idea of Jack. And why I forced myself to be gay. …I never felt…women…were…often that…deep. Men either.” says Lem. “And yet…I overestimated life itself. I overestimated humanity in that way. She doesn’t. She cuts right to the chase. Life is…utterly worthless…without love. I was never that down on life itself…until right before I died. …And…she’s had to realize how…uncaring and…unaware…most people are.”

“So I was so supposed to feel envy but not in that way? What does that mean?” says Casi.

“You were supposed to maybe wish you were richer? But not…much of anything else.” says Lacey. “So like…maybe some…irritation. But that’s it.”

“Unless you weren’t poor. Then you were supposed to feel…just…sad.” says Lem.

“So it was like, ‘Hey! Look at me! Aren’t I lucky? Except I’m not… So…don’t think about it too much. It’s sad. I know. …I’m so blessed. But…incredibly lonely.’” says Heather Dubrow.

“Yes.” says Lacey. “Except I couldn’t say I was lonely. Because then I’d get the wrong people interested. …I thought I’d just hint at it. Hope someone deep enough might notice. But…that was a dim hope. Very dim.”
