A reader: I’m from the perfume community, but I need to explain something.

First of all, we, those of us who followed her original account, wanted her to have a happy ending. We actually really did.

But…she didn’t. And…by 2017 it was getting depressing. …And I think, we started talking about her behind back and buying the negative stuff about her, because it was less depressing. We were emotionally invested and it was easier to just…hate her than try to make sense of it.

That’s the first thing. The second thing is that…we didn’t want to believe that she was really well-off. Because if she was that well-off…it was possible she was…never really going to be happy. And…we just felt…inferior.

She didn’t boast. She wasn’t a show-off. So…it made those of us who were…feel…dumb. Because we had the idea that she was going to be entertaining for real… Not just disappointing like most people. Like most television shows. …And…we’re completely fake.

So…it was depressing…and…we felt doubly depressed that she was real.

A reader: Is this level of wealth that overwhelmingly?

The lady in the perfume community: Yes.

We’re not a rich community. We’re liars.

To us…a $600,000.00 house is still expensive. Our posh people are worth like…$300,000.00. The ones we know about.

We lied.
