God: Let’s be crazy and assume that there’s reincarnation, for a moment.
Lacey, do you remember, after being attacked ten years ago, spiritually, why your neighbor is laughing the way she is? Right now?
Lacey: No.
God: It’s to assert herself, as a woman. …She’s trying to assert that she’s a healthy, joyful, sturdy woman.
Lacey: *Lacey thinks*
You know…I used to talk with Becca, the mother who raised me, about that sort of thing. But…I never fully internalized it.
God: You haven’t been loved enough. You just haven’t. It’s that simple.
Lacey: Huh.
So she’s being assertive. In a way.
God: Yes!
Lacey: That’s not a thing back in 1800’s Scotland. Women didn’t do that.
God: No, they did not.
But American women feel the need to prove themselves. Because there’s no clear class system. …And…sexuality and gender became…fodder for capitalists.
Do you understand that Casi is still desperate to prove herself? That that’s why she’s editing her photos? It’s ego, but she’s also very unsure.
Lacey: I hadn’t remembered that.
God: They’re desperate, women like Casi, to make it. To be finally seen as beautiful and worthy.
You had forgotten that.
Completely.
Lacey: Yes.
*She looks serious*
God: What does that make you feel?
Listen to “Danse Macabre” by Saint Saëns, Daniel Barenboim conducts Luben Yordanoff and the Orchestre de Paris.
Jeff Bezos: It’s scary?
Lacey: Yes.
God: The Illuminati, if it exists, used Becca. To avoid dealing with this reality.
You never internalized the narrative. You were still just studying it. When they attacked you. In 2016.
Lacey: It’s idiotic. …I can’t accept it.
Lem: I couldn’t fully either.
My parents loved me. And it was something I accepted. Somewhat. In childhood.
But…regardless, underneath all that, I couldn’t quite believe it. It’s absurd.
Fausta: And that’s why…if there’s reincarnation…Lacey and I were such good friends.
I can’t completely buy it either.
It’s mythology.
Lem: Why are Lacey and I here? If there be reincarnation?
Fausta: Because. Jack and I coordinated an attack. For personal reasons. On my part.
Revenge.
And to destroy the British Empire, on his part.
If there’s reincarnation.
Lem: It’s monstrous.
This is a profound catastrophe.
Jack became obsessed with making me a trifling nothing and his temporary, eventually discarded, slave. And believing I was actually the one obsessed with him and his glory. He isn’t doing anything to destroy the old British Empire. He’s an absolute fool and loser, I’m sorry.
And you…-
I wish you’d never been created. If there’s reincarnation. You’re a vile, heinous creature of Hell to me. I’m sorry! …It’s just impossible for me not to think that. You’re vile!
We did nothing to deserve this.
Becca: *Laughing*
Well, maybe there’s not reincarnation.
God: I’m saying for now, that there is.
Even if there isn’t.
We need to talk this through.
Lacey, what do you think of this…American idea?
Lacey: *Thinks*
Why does everyone keep falling for it?
Listen to “Party” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.
God: From “Requiem For A Dream”.
Yes.
Because there’s nothing else for them to reference.
And, for Casi, it’s vanity and ignorance. If there’s reincarnation. She knows she was famous. In her spirit. But she’s too vain to accept that you, and many other people, could be and have been greater. She’s a callous, selfish, arrogant, and deceitful person. And she’s unwilling to accept the harsh truth of her life. That she’s just poor. Always has been. And…people like you aren’t to blame. …It’s not your fault, at all.
Lacey: Alright.
Listen to “Ghosts of Things to Come” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.
God: So! What does that make you feel?
Lacey: Feel?
What?
God: What are you feeling right now?
Lacey: *Thinks*
I’m losing interest.
Putin: I HEAR YOU.
*He laughs*
Iran: *Laughs with them*
0:54
Lacey: Huh.
Yeah.
I’d like to take my family…and go eat Chinese from 1972. In Manhattan. With Lem.
Just…cancel it.
Turn the whole thing off.
Putin: I hear you.
I feel the same.
Listen to “Tense” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.
Lacey: Can’t we just end it?
It’s a stupid show.
Putin: I agree!
I’d like to end the Earth at about…1915.
Lacey: Mmm. No.
1914?
Putin: Mmm.
No.
1915.
Lacey: *Thinks*
Lacey’s neighbor: Agreed.
But…I’m enjoying being…me.
I’m actually happy.
The song ends.
Putin: Can’t you just-
Maybe you can take that with you?
Lacey’s neighbor: You’re thinking of blowing us all up?
Putin: YES!
I am.
I seriously am.
Iran: I would help.
Qatar: The whole world would pitch in, eventually.
Putin: Yeah.
I’m completely sick of this bullshit.
Lacey: *Nods*
*Smiles*
Would you go back to Russia? Or Great Britain?
Putin: *Rolls his eyes and thinks*
Listen to “I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan.
Lacey’s neighbor: Do you relate to this song at all? *She asks Lacey*
Lacey: It has a good melody. A good beat. And she has a good voice.
But it’s one giant fart to me. From beginning to end. In every other way. …Like a literal wet, vile fart.
Putin: Anyway.
I’ve decided on…both.
2:25
Lacey: Hmmm.
Yes, you were very popular in both lives.
I imagine there’d be a fight.
Putin: Yes!
3:13
Lacey: Well…you’ll have be strong.
You poor thing.
Putin: I will.
*He laughs*
Lacey: *Smiles, thoughtfully*
The song ends.
Lem: I agree with Lacey about the song. …It’s very painfully naive, and overly optimistic. …But it’s…fun? For someone somewhere?
Lacey: Yes!
Lem: No. I’d never have shared that opinion. Never. …I kept many things to myself!
Listen to “Succession: Main Title Theme” by Nicholas Britell.
Lacey: This such a farce.
But it’s also good music.
Putin: AGREED.
*He laughs with her.*
It’s a silly television show. It’s fun. That’s all.
Lacey: So!
We’ll have loads of nuclear fallout.
Listen to “Rondo in F Minor for Piano and Orchestra” by Nicholas Britell.
Putin: Yes!
Which is why I don’t do it. …Some days.
*He wipes shaving cream off his face, with a plush white towel. Examines his skin, thoughtfully.*
Lacey: You’re so nice.
*She looks thoughtful.*
Putin: *Feels understood and appreciated.*
Lacey: You know, he really is!
He’s very kind.
Iran: *Nods and smiles*
Lacey: Gosh.
No. I shouldn’t think the fallout would be good.
Putin: No.
Lacey: *Exhales sharply*
Damn.
1:18
Lacey: It’s such a neat and tidy way to end this shit-show.
Listen to “Moderato Con Brio for Violin, Harp, and Orchestra” by Nicholas Britell.
NBC: Harry ain’t fake either.
Why do him and Lacey seem alike? I keep wanting to make them…peasants. In my head.
The song ends.
Listen to “Money Wins” by Nicholas Britell.
Lacey: Then I win.
With the oil.
Let’s move on.
Putin…you do realize how ghastly the fallout would be?
Putin: OH YES!
I do.
I would rather die. …I would.
*He thinks. Sips a coffee.*
China: *Nods in agreement with him, calmly.*
The song ends.
Listen to “Rondo-
*Lacey rolls her eyes.*
Listen to “Kendall’s Summit” by Nicholas Britell.
Lacey: He’s a good composer. But I can’t stand this. It’s a mockery of real old money.
Prince Harry: We don’t fit in.
Lacey: That makes absolutely no sense.
Prince Harry: *Laughs and nods*
Lacey: We should be the standard.
Prince Harry: *Thinks*
They can’t handle that.
It scares them.
Lacey: What weakness.
Prince Harry: It is.
I feel sorry for them.
Lacey: …So the…dangerous genes…are in you?
Prince Harry: *Laughs*
Yes.
Can’t you see me cutting off people’s heads? In battle.
Lacey: YES!!!!
How wonderful!
*She smiles*
Harry: But they can’t handle it.
*He shrugs*
*sighs*
Putin: They-
*He laughs*
They have to reckon with me now.
Prince Harry: Is that fair though?
Is that actually fair?
Putin: *Thinks*
Well, I don’t think it’s right that you’ve been…defiled.
It’s completely psychotic!
Prince Harry: *Thinks*
William used to lean on me.
Putin: *Cries*
Prince Harry: Maybe that’s the part of us…that’s…the glory of the British Empire.
Funny how they call it “just human”. It’s not. …It’s us. Just us. And…it belongs to a once mighty, supremely powerful, and truly extraordinary nation.
Still extraordinary, in our hearts and minds.
Putin: I CANNOT STAND IT.
Can’t you see that!?
It’s DISGUSTING!!!
Prince Harry: Yes.
I do see it.
*He thinks*
I can’t work with them.
Putin: I can’t either.
They’re wretched sods. Absolute beasts, hardly human.
Listen to “Atmosphere in B Minor” by Nicholas Britell.
Lacey: No.
It’s incredibly tempting to just pull the plug.
Incredibly tempting.
*She rubs her eyes with frustration.*
An atheist: So…you all know there’s an afterlife!?!?
The song ends.
Listen to “Shiv’s Move” by Nicholas Britell.
Putin: Yes!
We do.
It’s not easy to prove it outside of Illuminati meetings. …Because, to prove it…requires secret knowledge. You see?
But ahh…we have almost certainly established it, as fact.
The song ends.
Listen to “Tern Haven” by Nicholas Britell.
Lacey: Funny? Huh?
An atheist: Why am I here!?
I feel-
I completely understand.
So why haven’t you already done it!?!
Putin: The fallout.
A sense of decency.
Stuff like that…
The song ends.
Listen to “Vaulter” by Nicholas Britell.
An atheist: *cries*
*Walks away, silently.*
Putin: Ja.
It’s-
It’s very tempting.
Lacey: But there is the fallout.
Prince Harry: Just understand, I’m with you.
Putin: We hope so.
*He smiles*
Look…I probably won’t do it.
But…it’s sort of exciting. …The real moral dilemma. Emerging.
Is there now…real just cause…to just…END?
*He smiles*
No more shooting children, in basements? Right?
*He smirks*
Lacey: *Nods, understanding.*
Not everyone can understand the utter shit that people have to go through, when they’re sent to Hell, for no reason, as a child.
Listen to “O Fortuna”.
Putin: Well. I get it.
And I do my best.
…But it is…alluring. The thought of it.
Just…peace.
A Russian advisor: But…think of the people living in the fallout.
Putin: Yes.
But I am a moral man.
1:37
Putin: I care.
1:54
Putin: I refuse to watch. And do nothing.
The song ends.
Lacey: Yes.
Indeed.
The song ends.
Restarts.
Molloch: Lacey.
What then?
Putin: Listen to the “Cantiones profanae”.
Listen to “Cantiones profanae” from Carmina Burana, by Orff. “I lament Fortune’s Blows”.
Putin: I have to weigh it all. Constantly.
It’s my duty.
What’s really best?
Molloch: So?
Lacey: You don’t want to be stuck in a world…blown to bits?
Molloch: No.
I’m not-
I’d rather not.
God-
I’d rather not.
Lacey: Well, of course.
Molloch: You’re-
Darling…do you remember when you used to stand and watch them worship me? With a dead goat?
The song ends.
Lacey: Yes.
Possibly.
Molloch: Go back there.
Lacey:
Putin: I shall have to leave this conversation.
Lacey: BE WELL!
We’ll be praying!
Moloch: Well. I-
Lem will be!
Putin: Yes. Of course.
*He smiles*
Listen to “Behold the Spring” by Orff.
Lacey: Remember when Spring used to feel like that?
Moloch: Yes. In America.
Did it in London?
In 1866?
Lacey: No!
Listen to “N. O. R. E.” Nothin’.
Lacey: This is London in 1866.
In the spring.
Moloch: YES!!!
It is.
*He dances*
Lacey: It’s…a good song.
Moloch: Yes.
0:44
Moloch: What did you think of…”Eyes Wide Shut”? Really.
Lacey: It’s hilarious.
But they’re good actors.
And it was good lighting.
Moloch: What about “The Shining”?
Lacey: …*Lacey laughs*
What was the point…?
Moloch: It’s American.
Lacey: Yeah.
*She thinks*
I don’t-
Moloch: Do you understand the concept?
2:34
Lacey: This song is so good.
Umm…-
*Thinks*
No.
I don’t.
Moloch: At all?
The song ends.
Listen to “The Power” by SNAP!.
Moloch: It’s…a tragedy.
Okay. So…the rich people are evil. Okay?
Yes! I know.
It’s ludicrous.
Ignore it.
So…the rich people are all pure evil. They embody…pure evil.
Try not to vomit.
And…-
Lacey: *Almost vomits*
Moloch: It’s okay.
Just breathe in that good coal air.
*Lacey breathes in cold London air with 1860’s soot. It’s comforting.*
Moloch: Anyway.
They believe the rich are evil.
Lacey: I’m trying.
Moloch: Yes.
So…-
They…are angry.
And…they believe that the evil people are making the world worse. And…they’re going to…kill the family. Or at least, one of them. Because…they’re haunting them. Outside of time. …They’re going…spells and magic. And conjuring someone’s death. As a sacrifice.
Lacey: To you?
Moloch: No.
Actually, no.
I prefer killing children. …It’s better.
No, not sexually abusing them. Ha! *He rolls his eyes.* …That should be obvious, but oh well. No…killing them.
A billionaire: Can we just blow them up!?!
Moloch: YOU HAVE.
Right?
Putin has. Well, he worships Christ. But…he nods at me.
*He smiles*
Good lad.
Listen to “Concerto in F Minor, Op. 8, No. 4, RV 297 Winter” from “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi.
Moloch: I don’t know if you’ve noticed…but he’s doing well.
I don’t like sexual assault! I don’t like sexual violence. …I don’t like sexual abuse!!!
Why do you STUPID PEASANTS not understand that!?! *he yells*
Jim: Do you impersonate God, the Father?
Moloch: I can’t agree to that.
But…He would say that, safely, in a way.
Jim: I don’t understand.
Do you care about the poor?
Moloch: NO!
I’m not God. I’m not God the Father.
I hate poor people.
Jim: *Thinks*
But you seem very close to…the woman I raised as my daughter. Lacey.
Moloch: YES!
She’s not a peasant!
She’s the very epitome of why I hate poor people and why I love the rich.
Jim: *Thinks*
Moloch: She’s an incredibly honorable, brave…beautiful woman. …And a real woman.
…She’s dignified. Ladylike.
…She’s…my pal.
Jim: So you hate the poor? Because they turn to evil?
Moloch: Ha!
They don’t turn to evil.
They’re WORTHLESS parasites!
…I’d just as soon slaughter them all.
A billionaire: You have.
Many times.
Throughout history.
Moloch: Yes.
And then stupid people became rich.
Look, I do my best.
God: But you aren’t really God!
Moloch: Shh!
They don’t need to know that.
Jim: Who!?
Moloch: My followers.
They think I’m God.
And I try to do my best.
Jim: What are you!??
Moloch: Really? You want to know the truth?!
Jim: *Thinks*
I can handle it. You know that? …I had a lot of good training at Bethany.
But…maybe-
God: He has to explain now.
Listen to “Concerto in F Major, Autumn: Adagio Molto” by Vivaldi.
Moloch: God…created the Earth in a unique way. …As you know.
He did create it.
Many ancient civilizations had similar memories of the past. Which is why they created similar deities. They’re all genuinely remembering something they collectively experienced. It’s aural history, arriving at a conclusion that some God, must exist. Over time.
The Jews improved on it. Had their own interpretation. Had their own memories. People weren’t just copying each other. They were competing and comparing and disagreeing. What not.
But way before that…and before the creation of Adam and Eve…I existed.
I existed before the creation of Adam and Eve.
I was an animal. But I could talk.
I’m smarter than a human.
Much smarter.
And…-
Well…-
Gosh, I don’t know if I should tell you this, but it seemed like I was a god. Because, I can do things. Humans can’t do.
Jim: But you died?
Moloch: Yes!
Very, very long ago.
Jim: What are you!?
Moloch: I’m a brilliant beast.
I’m…extremely smart.
Jim: How do you perform miracles?
Moloch: It was the way God created me.
I can perform supernatural, magical acts. And it appears god-like, to humans who are alive.
I’m not a bad sort.
But…God-
He has some mercy on me.
I’m a bit…power hungry. I guess.
I do try to do the right thing though. Often.
Jim: So you went extinct!?
Moloch: YES!
During The Flood.
We can…do things. Like…moving objects. Controlling wind.
We don’t heal the sick very easily.
I’m not a god. But…-
Jim: So…you still can do that from the grave!?
Moloch: Yes.
Not easily.
Which is why I require death.
You see…the energetic transfer…that’s real…away from the mortal body…creates a ripple. Like ripples in the water.
And…I am an absolute genius. A rare genius-
Jonah: You’re like…Di Vinci?
Moloch: YES!
So…I harness the power. I collect it. And then I can use that…electricity, in a way, to perform miracles. From the grave.
A white supremacist: I have so many questions.
So…you’re a cow!?
Moloch: *Laughs and smiles*
No.
But I’m not human.
I’m like an animal. In a way. But I’m a genius. An actual supergenius, by your definition.
A white man: Why do we keep worshiping you?
Moloch: Because…it seems…nice.
I can do things.
And you’re either too…ignorant, or too evil.
A white man: So some of those people didn’t go to Hell.
Moloch: Oh yes!
God is merciful.
He decides in such cases.
…I see myself…as…a troubled…sort of creature.
But no, I don’t like sexual abuse. …I was disgusted by Epstein Island. They disgust me.
A white poor man: THAT isn’t true.
You do too!
Moloch: No.
That’s myth.
Are you a secret pervert? Why are you so stuck on that idea?
A white poor man: How’d you know!?
Moloch: Well, why are you so concerned about that?
A poor white man: No way!!
*He gets angry*
I’d never.
Moloch: Then why are you so stuck on the idea?
A poor white man: Because.
It’s history!
Moloch: How do you know!?
You don’t.
They’ve lied.
…I have never liked sexual assault. Ever.
Don’t touch Children or animals sexually. Don’t interact with them sexually.
A demon: He’s not necessarily one of us.
We may actually be at odds with him, at times.
Moloch: A lot of the “gods” are like that. That’s why God says we’re all dead.
Jim: So…you just believe that poor people are…worthless?
Moloch: I’ve never liked them much.
Some, maybe.
There were a few poor young lads in London, during the Industrial Revolution, and I knew they’d grow-up and be poor and broken and sad. No wife. No…joy. …And so I had them killed. And the humans used them as a sacrifice, without knowing why.
Jim: Well.
So you felt you were sparing them?
Moloch: Yes.
And I was.
Jim: Did God let you help the British?
Moloch: YES!
He saw everything and everyone’s hearts. And he decided, because that young man was…happy in Heaven…to allow me to help them.
With…battle.
But that’s me.
I’m actually pretty nice.
Baal?
Baal…is…violent.
He doesn’t like sexual abuse either. But…he’s…mean.
Jim: *Thinks*
Bill Gates: I like Baal.
Baal: Why?
Bill Gates: Because. You’re so…tough.
Baal: *Looks stern*
I like to make crops grow.
You know that…
Bill Gates: I feel like I’m on Sesame Street for adults.
Baal: Yeah.
Bill, do you understand that I don’t like sexual abuse of children?
Bill Gates: I’m trying to hear that. I am.
Baal: I DO NOT LIKE SEXUAL VIOLENCE.
Don’t…-
Bill Gates: But, I think we thought sexually abusing kids was less evil than killing them. Because then they still have a chance at being happy? As adults?
Baal: Yeah, that’s how backwards your culture is.
You’re FOOLS.
Bill, that’s DUMB.
Listen to “Autumn: Allegro” by Vivaldi.
Osiris: Hello!!
*He greets Lacey, warmly.*
Sweetheart…you should go clean your house.
Lacey: But I mean to explain.
I want people to understand that sexually abusing children is pure evil. Absolutely…worthless, for real.
Osiris: But this isn’t working.
Lacey…it’s not worth it past what you’ve already said.
And your house needs cleaning.
You need to do that!
Lacey: *Sighs*
What were you?
Osiris: A snake. Sort of.
But not-
A gecko?
A giant gecko? A gecko-snake?
With feathers?
But…I was…kind of warm, and loving.
Sweetie…GO CLEAN.
God: They’re right.
You should.
Osiris: We’ll still be here!
I promise!
If I’m this…jolly…don’t worry. I’ll be around.
A man reading this: So…he was married to his sister!?
Osiris: No.
…Look…the Egyptians…tried to worship me. And understand me.
And…over a long period of time…things got confused.
Occasionally they made the horrible mistake of marrying siblings. …Some were perverted, and some were dense as rocks. They saw it as…a good way to consolidate power. It’s not. It’s insane.
And yet, because they did that…they misunderstood. They assumed I was like that myself. …I’m not.
I’m just…-
I’m very complex.
A reader: Makes sense.
So…did you become a pharaoh?
Osiris: No!
I was never pharaoh. I was never human.
…But things got complicated, and very confused
Lacey! Go clean.
*Later. After Lacey cleans some.*
God: Lacey.
That’s not me, but I’m letting him help you.
So you just don’t understand what the dickens the Americans are up to?
Lacey: Yes.
God: Yeah.
They’re not happy.
Listen to “Summertime Sadness” by Lana Del Rey.
God: The whole point is to be…better than your neighbor.
And…if you don’t do it…you’re…utterly worthless.
Lacey: So…-
No, you’re being-
I’m hearing you correctly?
God: Yes.
You’re worthless if you don’t meet the criteria.
Lacey: *Laughs*
What a shit country!
God: Yes, in that way it’s Hell.
I don’t like that, about America. I never have.
Some people, like some of your neighborhood, are occasionally happy. …On occasion, they find some real happiness.
But…it’s…-
So, that’s the backdrop. To a lot of your haters. They’re all…desperate to gain that status. That…societal approval.
Lacey: Why are they gullible!?
God: Lacey…that’s the culture.
That’s just…how they came to understand, everything.
Lacey: Then I’m in big trouble. …Because I don’t think like that at all.
What the heck!?
A Hasidic Jew: Hey!
No. You might not.
*He shrugs*
God: She’s terrified.
Why did the Illuminati, should they exist, decide to “uncover the truth about her”?
A Hasidic Jew: Because one person, in America, got it in his head…that she should be held accountable. He was jealous, he grew-up poor. And he was and is, secretly, quite backward. …The poor tend to be less experienced and educated. I’m sorry, but it’s true. …And he had it in his head, to…”make her pay!”.
I didn’t have anything to do with it.
God: I know.
And yet, you’re suffering.
A Hasidic Jew: Yes.
God: Are you in denial? It’s completely unfair!
A Hasidic Jew: I don’t think about it.
God: Yes.
Lacey, do…you…understand why?
Lacey: *Thinks*
Because they’re trying to redistribute wealth. And power.
And, of course, meritocracy…seems…like path to take.
God: Yes!
What do you think?
Lacey: It’s ludicrous. Because…it’s still Capitalism.
…How…is meritocracy…supposed to fix Capitalism??!
God: Yeah.
They didn’t think that far ahead.
Lacey: But that’s obvious!
God: You’re exceptionally gifted…in this case. They weren’t able to see it. It actually made sense to them.
Lacey: *Thinks*
So now what?
*She panics.*
God: Yeah.
What are you worried is going to happen?
Lacey: Ahh-
*Goes into mild shock.*
*Thinks*
People will exhaust themselves.
And die.
…People…will…start hating each other. And things will become…completely impossible.
And then the country will fall apart.
God: Why?
Lacey: Because you can’t make-
Meritocracy and Capitalism aren’t complementary. …They seem to be, on first glance, but they’re not. They’re in opposition to each other. In a very subtle way.
God: And?
Lacey: And…all Capitalism will do…is drive people into physical exhaustion. If you combine it with Meritocracy. …It’s inevitable.
And…relationships will become tainted.
Because it’s a toxic mix.
Deadly.
God: Well, that’s America.
Lacey: SHOOT!
…Because it seems to make sense.
…Why not combine Meritocracy…with Capitalist Socialism?
God: Why would that be better?
Lacey: *Thinks*
The real evil poor start to die off. If you do it right. Not good people.
Class systems emerge. …Inevitably. But…they’re mild. And…workable.
You just have to be…decent. Tough. Good.
God: Yes. Maybe.
But…can Americans culturally handle that?
Lacey: *Thinks*
I’ll be right back.
*Later*
No.
God: Yeah.
The Minnesota State Fair, is an exhibition event that draws on the cultural reasons for why your proposal doesn’t work, in America.
So…-
Socialist countries are suffering because they don’t have America protecting them anymore. It’s not that the idea is completely rubbish.
An American: Why can’t we do it!?
God: …Ask Moloch.
Moloch: Ha!
You’ll misunderstand His heart, nowadays. So I’m going to have to try to explain.
So…-
*He sighs*
It requires a lot of humility. Good weather. …And more humility.
…You can’t compare and compete.
You compare and improve. No complaints.
Norwegians could handle that.
You compare and…keep a stiff upper lip. And dig in. And…develop yourself.
You can’t compete.
An America: So…it requires sanity. Clean water. Clean air.
Moloch: Yes!
Narcissistic personality disorder? I don’t think so.
…A certain coldness can be useful. But…like a Swede. Not…actually cold.
An American: Humility. Huh.
You don’t sound like the entity I was told you were.
Moloch: Yeah.
…Don’t believe everything you hear.
An American: So…?
Moloch: If you’re old money?

That’s your house.
$600,000.00.
And you keep in your family for hundreds of years.
And you take good care of it.
And you take good care of the land.
Why? Because…Mark didn’t work for Bear Stearns. …He struggled. And found himself. And got married. And decided to have a family.
That’s what old money with a conscience does in a Capitalist Socialist Society.
Lacey and Mark never pushed themselves. They tried to be…good. And genuinely happy.
So…it’s not about getting ahead. For them. For them it’s about…making enough. Doing well. And being…content. Grateful. Working humbly.
And they are fortunate. But…it’s…humble.
A Hasidic Jew: *Laughs*
So that’s what they both were doing?
God: Yes!
They understood and understand each other in that way.
It’s about success. Of course. But…not at the expense of your soul.
A reader: But he’s still gainfully employed.
God: Yes!
And she works hard. Cleaning. Cooking.
But…a $600,000.00 house, and $3 million net? That’s it. And…that’s plenty.
Of course, there’s the oil. But…that is in the ground.
It’s…nice. It’s privileged. But it’s not unfair.
And that’s them. …That was what they chose.
A woman named Robin: So why don’t we all try to do that?
God: …Well…-
It does create a class system.
Some people are just too put off by that.
A reader: Okay.
But it’s winter in Gstaad. For a week.
Summer in…Duluth.
And…a brilliant but…humble jewelry collection?
God: Yes.
A reader: See…I have a feeling…you like it. Once you’re old money.
But…that’s not motivation for some people.
God: Really?
A reader: Gstaad for a week!?
A WEEK!?
Not enough time.
God: Go on?
A reader: I want…a month. Or more.
Casi: *Claps*
YEAH, BABY!!
GSTAAD!!!
A reader: I want…a mansion.
I want…TEN CARS.
I want…A JET.
God: And yet, you believe you could be satisfied with a lot less?
A reader: Yes.
I just…-
It reminds me of when I go grocery shopping. …And I’m hungry.
I buy…crap.
But…when I’m full and I feel fat? …Then I want…oats.
*she laughs*
I don’t think…America has ever been wealthy enough-
Osiris: But she’s really doing the right thing.
Why are you hating on her? Why are you attacking her!?
A reader: *Sighs*
I’m not!
*Looks sad*
I’m actually not.
*Shrugs*
…It’s weird and scary to watch.
God: You need to understand something: people are petty and dramatic and controversial today in a way that they weren’t in the past, because old Europe saw that behavior as problematic. Being a catty, immature adult was shunned. Growing-up and becoming stable emotionally was a mark of refinement, and it was seen as Christian and necessary.
A lot of old cultures were like that.
People started misunderstanding immaturity as emotional progress in the late 20th century. They felt that you had to be immature and be “honest” to heal.
There is something to that, but you’re better off being boring and old-fashioned and stable. And yet in the name of progress and social equality, a lot of old wisdom was thrown out the window.
Lacey is not immature nor petty and I’m getting angry at people who are determined to interpret everything she does in that light. She never attacked anyone in the perfume community, once. People attacked her and they need to stop lying about it.
I’m letting her explain more of her mental state because there were some people who actually had some good goodness in their hearts who were actually confused.
But it’s sad that no one has tried to understand where she’s coming from on their own, and it’s sad to me how little love people really have nowadays.
