Don’t Stress

A hater: So is she stressed or not?

Jeff Bezos: No.

I mean…YES! She’s extremely stressed. But that’s because she’s been savagely attacked.

Otherwise, no.

The Nesheims were smart.

Her father was.

They just…keep quiet.

John from Messiah: I actually am trying to figure out why she thought South America belonged to her at age two.

Lacey: Because “I can do it!”, don’t you see?

Yeah, that’s either my father or the Rosslyns.

John of Messiah: –

A Messiah College graduate: A lot of her explanations are probably exactly true and then if she’s actually reading us, our reaction to her actual explanations is to scoff and think we ultimately know better, which is insane. I’m not going to sit here and assume. I’m sorry.

And I don’t have the patience for it anymore, to explain what I’m saying now.

You should be taking what she says more seriously.

John from Messiah: But how!?!

What could you possibly be thinking at age two!?

The graduate: YOU FIGURE IT OUT!!!

Good GOD!!

John from Messiah: Makes me think about things I don’t want to think about. About myself.

A woman from Messiah: Was she just bossy!?

Tom: Yes. And no.

She figures out on her own that she has no idea what she’s doing. If you help her understand.

“Lacey, who will drive the car?”. Or, “Where’s your money?”. And…then she feels very overwhelmed. And-

*he cries*

I’d have been there to hold her. And remind her that she’s just a kid. But it’s okay. *he smiles*

She doesn’t have hit the nail in the tracks yet.

*he laughs*

She would be almost the same person she is now, but married to Lem.

A psychic: Why is she overwhelmed?

Tom: She feels a sense of urgency. *he laughs*

It’s genetic.

And then she feels dumb. Because she’s just a kid. *he laughs* But she really is just a kid…

Lord Loughborough: He’d have coped with it that way.

I have to wonder if she’s really going to do it.

No offense to him.

Lacey, why…are you stealing South America!? From me?

Lacey: *thinks*

I’m going to TAKE IT.

Lord Loughborough: Why would you want to take my South America? Doesn’t daddy mean anything to you? Family!??

Lacey: *thinks*

I suppose you’re right.

Lord Loughborough: Yes!

Would you like a part of it?

Lacey: *thinks*

I don’t know.

Lord Loughborough: *raises his eyebrows*

Lacey: Turns-out I am just a kid…

DARN!

Lord Loughborough: Well.

You should have to think about it a lot more.

Lacey: Yes, father.

*almost cries*

I’m so sorry!!!

Lord Loughborough: You need to consider the whole thing. You might enjoy the idea for a very good reason!

Lacey: *thinks*

Lord Loughborough: Go get her a book! *he says to the nanny*

But that didn’t happen. And Tom died when she was a small child.
