Rejection

Lou:

I always have loved how you don’t take rejection seriously, as the person doing the rejecting. It’s very benevolent. You actually love people.

But…it’s not working anymore.

Listen to “Lento” from Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Minor by Dimitri Shostakovich.

Lacey: Yes. I think I thought I had it made. In some dark…sad…but…effective way. Where I could reject people…without them ever feeling rejected. Because they had rejected me.

Lou: *laughs*

Yeah.

We’re so good together.

*he smiles*

Lacey: You bring a lot of peace and stability into my life. I loved being with you.

It was very neat and tidy when you became…fascinated by your wife. It hurt a lot…but it’s a familiar hurt.

The song ends.

Listen to “Andante” by Shostakovich from his Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Major.

Lacey: This is one of my favorite songs…ever.

Lou: I KNOW.

*He thinks*

The song plays.

Satan: I remember.

Lacey: Oh no!

3:44

Satan: It’s okay. I’m not at all easy to hurt.

But you do have to hurt them. There’s no other way.

I’ll be better off without you, you know? I really will. *he smiles*

They don’t see it that way.

*he looks sad*

But there’s nothing you can do.

Lacey: Are you sure you’re not easy to hurt?

Satan: *Feels overwhelmed*

The song ends.

Lou: He stole my lines.

Do you understand?

Lacey: I’m still waiting for his response.

Lou, that will tell me a lot.

Lou: I can’t-

Lacey…you understand me. …My wives didn’t, enough. I understand you.

*he thinks*

It’s our ancestry, for one thing. But it’s also Minnesota. *he smiles fondly*

You don’t want to trash that. And I completely understand.

Lacey: It seems vile to me. It’s so precious. So rare.

Lou: It is.

But we aren’t together!

Lacey: That’s not right.

Lou: No. It’s not.

*he laughs*

Lacey: How do we perfect it? Because I’m sure God didn’t just throw it all away. That would be like…obliterating our souls.

Lou: *cries*

You’re right.

Lacey: It’s wrong.

Lou: *nods and cries*

Listen to “Jazz Suite No. 1: III. Foxtrot” by Shostakovich.

Lacey: You must win. You must be happy…somehow.

That’s just the nature of God.

Lou: *Smiles, with his eyes closed*

I can’t keep rejecting you, though. *He says, matter-of-factly*

Lacey: There’s some way to do it.

But what is it?

Lou: God reassures me that there is. I just asked him.

*he smiles*

We can be best friends.

Lacey: Of course you’d have to be best friends with Lem, in a way, too.

Lou: Yes.

But there are friendships in Heaven.

Lacey: I adore you. You know?

Lou: *nods and smiles*

I love you. *he says with quiet seriousness*

The song ends.

A Catholic: Are their soulmates!??

God: *smiles*

YES!!! Or something like it.

A lot of nuns and priests were incredibly sad and lonely in the fallen world, but then when they died and joined me, they found out the reason I didn’t want that as the ultimate best isn’t because I didn’t like sex. It’s because I didn’t want people to get hurt.

The Catholic Church has not fully understood that, I’m sorry. There’s nothing wrong with sex. I created you with a sexual body. That’s not part of The Fall. If you don’t understand that you don’t really understand romantic love, to be brutally honest. There is something profoundly edifying about romantic love, it’s not dependent and stupid or meaningless.

So I guess the sad news for you if you are an asexual or aromantic is that you’re not actually better than other people? Because I designed Heaven for people to have sex and be profoundly happy for eternity. You can be as innocent and holy and pure as an adult as you want in Heaven and still be incredibly happy with an adult sex life.

I think your current Pope has guessed that? Thank God. And the wonderful news then is that you don’t make any mistakes. It’s not that it’s impossible though which is why I said, “if you burn with desire”. So the idea is that if you feel passionate love for someone and it’s manifesting in your body in a holy way in your sexual nature, you should get married. It’s not the same thing as lust. It’s actual real desire and passion. People today don’t often enough understand the difference between lust and actual love. And yes, of course this connects to birth control and other issues.

Lacey is mad at me for a reason. She’s understood a lot of this for a while and she feels as though I created an absolute monstrosity. It’s because she cares about people and she wants to hold me accountable. It’s not that she’s trying to take me down. And she even understands that but she’s a woman, she’s alone in many ways and she’s willing to get angry at me with the understanding that she doesn’t really want to reject her salvation. She’s just very angry.

The hope is that unless if you really find that person, which is way too rare, even if it actually is possible… you won’t get connected to anybody in any sort of traumatizing hideous way. They won’t get hurt you won’t get hurt. You’ll just be hands-off and loving each other in Christ until Heaven and then when you get to Heaven, everything makes sense and you can just sort it out and be happy. Some people don’t have this innate understanding that she does and so they get confused and they can think that they found love when they haven’t and that was why I decided that I should have Jesus tell you that it’s best to just wait until Heaven. It’s to protect you from really getting in trouble.

That being said there are people like her and there are many of them. Who do actually fall in love. And over the centuries, it became almost impossible to convince people of my suggestion as a reasonable one. It just seems too miserable and too lonely and too doubtful.

So take heart in knowing that you’re making a long-term decision as a Catholic, when you choose to go into the clergy. You’re in a sense separating yourself from the fallen world and saying “I exist. I’m not dependent on this fallen mortal shell. I exist and I’m making a decision for myself, for my eternal being in Christ. To just take things slowly…and worship God…and wait until everything is so much safer, until I commit myself in that profound way.”. Married romantic love is good but what you have in that same capacity and Heaven is astounding.

God is a very wealthy God in the best sense. Poverty can be an aesthetic, or it can be suffering. Don’t confuse the two. Poverty can also be self discipline and contemplation. Be careful not to misunderstand it.

You were choosing to be poor as a Catholic as part of a hostile takeover of evil. You’re fighting evil by demanding that I provide for you through the power of the Cross. And it’s a strategy of redemption.

Suffice to say, you’re not alone for eternity.

*later*

Lem: OK so on that note, I’m what you call her twin flame. By myself, just me. I’m not a gay man.

*Later*

A woman who graduated from Messiah University: Why was Chris Dodds, from Pennsylvania…dating you?

Lacey: *Thinks*

Huh.

*Thinks*

I think he just…liked being admired? …I think he just mostly liked being admired.

A woman who graduated from Messiah University: By who?

Lacey: Me. …But also…everyone. …I think having a girlfriend made him feel…glamorous, as a man.

A woman who graduated from Messiah University: So he’s a jerk?

Lacey: It depends on how you look at it.

Another woman from Messiah University: What was he like in bed?

Lacey: We never…-

He wanted to…not.

I think, to be honest, he didn’t want to get attached to me. Because he wanted to dump me. And he knew if we actually slept together he’d probably get too…emotional? Or something?

…But he pretended like it was me. And okay…it was. I did want to save myself for marriage. But…I think it was also him. …I mean, I know it was him, but…I think on a certain level he knew that.

A woman from Messiah University: So he really damaged you?

Chris: I mean, yeah. I think so.

God: It’s SICK how proud you all are. But do you even know what you did?!?

Iraq: MISSION…ACCOMPLISHED!

*they laugh riotously with Lacey*

*Later*

Robin: I think you got fucked.

*she laughs*

Lacey: *laughs*

Are you trying to be funny?

Robin: *looks worried*

I can’t believe someone just intuited that…

Chris: Well…-

*scoffs, haughtily*

Listen to “Sailing to Nowhere” by Broken Bells.

Robin: Was it good for you?

Lacey: No.

I prefer drinking water. I prefer the sensation of drinking ice water.

You couldn’t pay me to “sleep with him” again.

Robin: I understand your frustration.

Lacey: What do these dumbasses think sex is!?

It’s disgusting.

*Later*

Chris: I didn’t realize it was quite that bad.

Lacey: I hope you and your wife have much better sex?

Chris: Yes.

That’s why I married her.

Lacey: Good!

*smiles sweetly*

Robin: Have you slept with anyone else, Chris?

Chris: No.

Robin: Has your wife?

Chris: Yes.

Robin: You assumed that’s what was wrong with Lacey? Her virginity?

Chris: Yes! DUH!!

*he laughs, and sucks his two front ugly, oversized teeth*

Robin: Are you better or worse than the last dude she slept with?

Satan: He’s awful..in certain ways. Like…hideous. …But…he doesn’t know that.

*he smiles*

Is he better overall? Hmm. …Maybe?

They’re still married…

*he shrugs*

Marsie: Why did you date him? *She asks Lacey*

Lacey: It’s horrific.

Casi: Nah. I can handle it.

*she laughs*

What happened?

Lacey: I was raised…in Purity Culture. And John Eldredge culture.

I was…waiting for the man…to ask me out. …And in the 1950’s way I needed. Because that’s how I’m made. …And they just never did.

So I’d ask them out. …And it made absolutely no sense.

And then I’d walk…wrap my horribly wounded heart…and completely get over them. And they’d…suddenly want to sleep with me. All smiles. Or they’d start staring at me…oddly. …And I’d think, “Okay. Well. You had your chance. Fuck you!”

Casi: I can tell you look a shocking amount like Scotia in person. They had to have been attracted.

Lacey: YES!!!

Oh, absolutely.

But I didn’t know that.

*she looks sad*

Long story short, they “wanted sex” but not a relationship. …And I couldn’t figure that out.

Casi: What did you think was going on?

Lacey: I assumed they just…didn’t find me attractive. *she shrugs*

And then some older man…would…throw himself at me. In a very particular way. And I’d think, “No. I have to be attractive. This is weird.”

Casi: You’re so…clear…and pretty.

Lacey: Yes!

Casi: I am not you.

Okay. …What happened?

Lacey: They wanted sex. Almost all the guys I asked out just wanted sex. …And they’d keep eyeing me. And giving off signals? And so I’d formally ask them out, thinking they were shy. …No! …Well, maybe they were shy. But…-

*exhales*

Casi: What kind of signals?

Lacey: Staring longingly into my eyes. Breathing heavy. Smiling without…control. As they did all this.

Casi: Why didn’t you just fuck them?

Lacey: *Thinks*

  1. You’re not supposed to.
  2. I didn’t want to that badly.

But mostly, because you’re not supposed to.

Chris Dodds: I’LL SUE YOU!!! YOU MEAN, CRUEL…BITCH!!!

I cheated with my wife because she offered to let me fuck her in the ass. I was helpless.

YOU SCUM!

A reader: Didn’t you lie to Lacey?

Chris Dodds: I am allowed.

Its logic.

Use your logic.

Geez.

This is spurious (he spits as he talks, just a tiny bit). I am A KING in the bedroom. And I can prove it court.

*he cries*

A male reader: How tall are you?

Chris: You are entrapping me. I am sad!!

I feel entrapped.

*he fumes*

I am so damn sexy!! IT IS ILLEGAL.

*he fumes*

Another male Millennial reader: How tall are you?

Chris: Under six feet. Of course.

Another male Millennial: Do you have a lisp?

Chris: *smirks*

I used to.

*thinks*

Are you hotter than my mom now? *he asks Lacey*

Lacey: I always was. …Yes, I’m better looking than her.

…You didn’t realize that. Did you?

A man in Belgium: So you had an unusually good-looking mom. And that’s why you felt comfortable asking her out?

Chris: *mutters to himself, enraged*

FUCK YOU ALL! I am…a very important man. Very important.

*he weeps*

Listen to “Zombie” by The Cranberries.

Lacey’s Men

Satan: The Illuminati just threatened to send a cease and desist letter to her because there’s talk that Bobby is obsessed with Lem because he lost his mind when he was molested by his father at age 12. There’s talk that he became fixated on Lem and then twisted it so that it would seem like it was the other way around because he can never say that he was actually molested by him and there’s somehow a consensus that it probably didn’t happen among people who aren’t just sycophants. I’m not too worried though.

It would just be proof that there’s a real Illuminati. And proof they’re all vulnerable idiots.

Lacey let’s talk about what happened with the men in your life.

You…have only slept with…your husband. And one other man.

Putin…had sexual contact with you. But…it wasn’t really sex. Was it? You just don’t know how to describe it.

Lacey: True.

Well. It depends on your definition. …Like…what’s in your heart, and all that. But…yes? No?

Satan: Let’s be honest. You’re falling in love with me. But…no. Totally not.

And…why didn’t Lem get married? Oh! Because Jack?

No. It’s too much. You’re totally confused. And it’s completely unfair.

Lacey: YES!

Satan: There are WAY too many loose ends.

Lacey: YES. It’s…- HA! It’s…Hellish…

Satan: Yeah…

Jack, Bobby, Jesus and Lem. Fucking in Heaven? Isn’t that what Eunice said? At Lem’s funeral.

Lacey: *laughs*

*looks sad*

What does that even mean!??

Satan: *laughs*

Lacey: *Smiles*

What does that even mean?

Satan: *Thinks*

Does the Jesus part throw you off?

Lacey: Yes! What-

I just keep seeing them all standing there. In sweaters and khakis. All lined up in a row.

And they’re just standing there.

Loving each other!?

*she looks…distraught*

Satan: And then you and I are in Hell, making love. Right?

Lacey: *Thinks*

*Laughs*

*Thinks*

Does Lem care!???

Satan: Yes.

He wouldn’t want you to make love with me. But not just because he’s a Christian. He’s in love with you. I’m absolutely sure…

Lacey: Then why is he in Heaven…fucking Jesus in the ass? While Jack Kennedy fucks him…in the ass?

Satan: Listen to “Tension Is a Passing Note” by Sixpence None The Richer, as you imagine, if you so choose, a human gay fuck train. All moving in synchronized. Wearing knit sweaters. And nothing else. Butts thrusting to the beat.

Jesus at the front. Of course. Bent forward.

Then Lem. Bespectacled. Charming.

And…Jack Kennedy…passionately thrusting his smallish cock up Lem’s shitter. Crap oozing out.

*Turn that music up louder.*

You know. …Jack looks…dumb. I’m sorry. But he does.

I just had to stop and say that.

Okay.

And next we have…one Mr. Bobby Kennedy Senior. Thrusting his penis up his older brother’s butthole. …But no, there’s no poo coming out of Jack’s butt. Why? Because…JFK struggled with dry poops. …Otherwise known as constipation.

The song ends. They didn’t orgasm.

Lacey: Did they even come close to finishing?

Satan: No.

*he cracks-up laughing*

Lacey: But they stay hard? Because it’s Heaven? And…they’re just in accord…loving each other?

Satan: *laughs*

One…beautiful…beautiful chord.

2:00

Lacey: Aww. The harmony.

SEX! …What a mystery?

…I mean…I’m not getting it.

Why would staying hard…in such a weirdly pretty way…and just…fucking?…be…Heaven?

Satan: I CAN SEE IT, LACEY.

Lacey: Is it actually happening?

Satan: No.

*he smiles*

Lacey: They’re all wearing sweaters, just sweaters. Crewneck knit, sweaters.

Satan: YES.

Lacey: *Thinks with him.*

The song ends.

Listen to “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Sixpence None The Richer.

Satan: Is this song about lamb being able to go fuck Jack in Heaven? Like you’re telling him that he should cheer-up and stop using heroin because we know they won’t win?

Lacey: Who is they?

Satan: I don’t know. Possibly me?

Lacey: It’s the same album…

Satan: I am the world.

Lacey: Would we have fun making love?

Satan: Yes.

Lacey: OK, don’t humor be too much but I’m not understanding. Would I be they?

Satan: Yes, you would be you. Yes, you would be.

Lacey: Well, hey now!

Why would we care what they were doing at all?

Satan: That’s an interesting question because you’re human and you’re redeemed by Christ, so if you were mine, I would have almost no interest in humanity other than just related to our family, as corny as that sounds.

I have absolutely no idea why we would be at war with “The Sex Train”?

Lacey: I’m insulted. I’m not obsessed and I don’t think you would be either.

Listen to “Still Burning” by Sixpence None the Richer.

Lacey: *dances, slightly humorously*

1:12

Lacey: Is this about Jack and Bobby?

Satan: It’s about a dross.

Lacey: *looks angry and confused*

Your heart is a hand!??

Satan: This is one of my favorite things ever. And I’m a little disturbed that this just came to you to do but that’s OK.

The song ends.

Listen to “Melody of You” by Sixpence None The Richer.

Lacey: This is obviously about Lem and Jack having passionate sex.

Satan: You know it actually could be! I don’t know what she was thinking. …It was all on the same album.

Lacey: Why is it so sexy and passionate and then so corny and stupid at the same time?

Satan: He has to sing the melodies of Jack, Lacey.

Lacey: La la la, la la la, la…la…LA. He can do nothing else.

The song ends.

God: Lem this is why I say you should stray from the appearance of evil. Jack was a very stupid, evil man. You didn’t take that seriously enough.

Lacey: Listen to “Eyes Wide Open” by Sixpence None The Richer.

Is this about Domino?

*she smirks*

Satan: From “Eyes Wide Shut”? Who’s a prostitute? Who’s dying of AIDS?

*he laughs*

Lacey: The this disturbs me. Because I can’t tell if these are coincidences or if this woman picks awful subject matter?!?

Listen to “A Million Parachutes” by Sixpence None The Richer.

Satan: How does it make you feel?

Lacey: Disturbed, traumatized, horrified, amused, mystified.

Satan: If there’s reincarnation, I forced Lem to listen to this song right after he died, walking around London.

Lacey: That would be perfect if he gave a shit about me.

Bobby: He doesn’t Lacey.

And you should just go die. That would be better.

*he laughs, incredulously*

5:26

Lacey: Here’s what I don’t understand, though: Jack was already dead.

The song ends.

Satan: Maybe they were walking around London together. Except you’re right, that doesn’t match with the song…

Lacey: But he’s missing Boston and the sunlight? Excuse me, Cape Cod, and the sunlight?

Satan: You always go with the most awful explanation!

Lacey: *laughs*

Do you love that or hate that?

Satan: That’s not what I meant.

And you know it?

Lacey: *breathes quickly*

Why? Do you know?

Satan: Do you know?

Lacey: I can’t tell.

Satan: …*Thinks*

It’s been right.

*He looks sad*

You’re just very intuitive.

Lacey: You’re confused too?

Satan: *laughs*

Yes!

Do you do that!?

Lacey: *Blinks*

Well? Do you love it or hate it!?

Satan: I get great desire.

Lacey: *swallows hard, eyes open wide*

*considers how silly she must look and laughs*

You’re fun!

Satan: No, you’re not the same. You were a lot more happy…

Lacey: *blinks.*

Dear…I have no idea what you’re talking about.

*Later*

Satan: Do you have desire.

For those reading? No. We don’t have sex. She’s tired. She just brushed her teeth.

Lacey: Yes. You’re very attractive.

But…I do love Lem.

Satan: *breathes more quickly*

You keep resisting me.

Lacey: I have to.

That’s how this works…

Listen to “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None The Richer.

Satan: Is that a criticism of God?

Lacey: Yes. What in the world is one supposed to do!?

*she laughs*

Satan: Lacey’s it’s MY fault.

Lacey: *she laughs*

You did this!?

Satan: Yes.

Lacey: *she laughs*

*Then looks sad*

Satan: I may not be destroyed in a lake of fire.

Listen to “There She Goes” by Sixpence None The Richer.

Lacey: Good! Or not…

Hmm…

I’m so sorry we’re experiencing this. This is horrific.

Satan: The song or-?

Lacey: *Thinks*

Listen to “I Can’t Catch You” by Sixpence None The Richer.

Lacey: This is one of the only songs I like by them.

Satan: I agree.

You mean sex?

Lacey: Yuck.

Satan: Yeah.

*he smiles at her*

God is restraining me.

At the moment.

Lacey: *takes a deep breath*

You like the word?

Satan: YES.

The song ends.

Listen to “Anything” by Sixpence None The Richer.

Lacey: Is he okay?

God: He’s being restrained. He can’t resist.

Lacey: *laughs*

Is he okay?

God: Yes!!

Lacey: He’s fun.

*waits*

Can he talk?

God: Yes.

4:01

Lacey: So.

Why do you like the word sex?

Listen to “South Side” by Moby.

Satan: It’s bad. But…it hides the real meaning.

Lacey: Does your perfect “twin flame” like the s?

Satan: *blinks*

I WANT YOU.

Lacey: Can I ask you…?

Satan: YES!!

*he smiles*

Lacey: What’s a woman supposed to say when a man says that?

Satan: *he SCREAMS at God*

*he weeps*

*a moment later*

I’m mad. You can’t hear a thing Lem is saying.

He’s been trying to contact you, this whole time. But he’s too oppressed.

Lacey: I can sense him. But I’m not interested in…being abandoned.

It’s me versus the entire Gay Community. And I’m not stupid enough to take myself that seriously in that way.

I know he was straight, but I can’t…risk it.

Satan: I understand.

*he moans in masculine desire, desperate to touch her*

Lacey: Dang it.

Are you okay?

Listen to “Skyfall” by Adele.

Satan: Yes. I did it to myself.

I’ll be okay.

Lacey: It’s delightful!

Satan: YES!

Lacey: But it’s also so annoying. No. Annoying isn’t the right word.

Satan: Yeah.

Man. Could you stop-

*he rolls his eyes*

Lacey: I chose this song…to turn you off.

Satan: *Smiles*

That’s nice. Thank you.

*he takes a deep breath*

Lacey: Is he being serious with all this desire stuff? *she asks God* Or is he…being a sweetheart?

Listen to “Fire For You” by Cannons.

God: He’s being real.

That’s real.

Satan: Is this about me?

Lacey: It’s about Lem. But…it’s also about you.

Satan: *Listens*

I’m going to cease to exist. Help.

God: *Takes mercy on him.*

The song ends.

The song restarts.

Jesus: *”apologizes” to Satan*

Joseph was…the father who raised me.

This is just sick.

Lacey…-

*he weeps*

Lacey: *Dances*

It’s a good song.

A Millennial: But it’s SEXY!!!

Bobby: I don’t think he notices. She’s ugly as fuck. I tell her that every day.

*he says in a Chinese accent*

A poor Chinese man: DUDE!! SHUT-UP!!!

Bobby: *sadly, can’t hear him.*

Listen to “Brutus” by The Buttress.

Lacey: Can you please help him? *she asks God about Satan*

God: Lem helped assassinate JFK.

Lacey: Why?

2:55

God: *has been helping Satan*

3:29

The song ends.

Listen to “I’ve Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts” by Freddy Martin.

Lacey: Is Satan okay?

God: YES.

He’s okay. He’s had desire before…but…you’re-

He’s in love.

Listen to “Tense” by Clint Mansell.

Lacey: I can’t be two different people. There has to be some way out?

God: Listen to “Crimin’ & Dealin” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.

You’re not able to not choose. You have not had a chance to understand that. But…you’re a woman. …And your choice is who loves you…in a sense. Or between men who do.

But…you don’t have a choice. It’s been stolen from you by extraordinarily evil people.

Listen to “Hope Overture” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.

It was stolen by the Obama administration. They published the shit about Lem to further their agenda. But you liked them- *he laughs* And…they don’t necessarily mean any harm. But it’s absolute bullshit. Michelle read it and said she had no idea what really happened between them, as a lawyer. …And EVERYONE has lied, except Queen Elizabeth II. And Mohammed Al Fayed.

Dolly was the worst.

She was a cruel woman when she wanted to be. Extremely cruel.

She hated you. And it killed her. Your innocence and background, combined. She couldn’t stand it.

So! You are supposed to be able to choose.

Listen to “Marion Barfs” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.

But you’re in a position where you’re dependent on your faith…and your ability to hear me…to decide the fate of all of humanity, potentially.

Listen to “Winter Oveture” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.

Lacey: The Somalian gangs? Fighting over…Facebook? That’s a rebuke of Dolly.

God: YES.

Listen to “Southern Hospitality” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet.

Lacey: I LOVE IT.

*she smiles*

I don’t want them to get hurt. But they’re so smart.

Tom Banks: I agree. *he smiles and laughs*

They understand actual war. Not just business.

Dr. Harford: I’m the CAPTAIN, NOW. *he says, voice rising*

0:44

Tim Walz: They are very smart people. Being honest.

Lacey: What happened in Somalia!??

Tim Walz: YEAH!!!

God: The actual characters in the film…outside time…agreed to let him say that line. To be left alone by the Illuminati. *He smiles*

When Kubrick died he was stunned to find his…art.

And that’s what he decided.

1:10

The song ends.

God: So?

Who do you choose?

Lacey: Who do you choose?

God: I know. But I want to hear your thoughts. Still, I choose Lucifer for his credibility. Yet Elliott for his strength. And Lem for his victory, which means he has my vote.

Lacey: That makes absolutely no sense. I either can’t hear you, or something…-

What are you?

God: I’m God. But you’re not hearing my words easily. …I choose Lem.

Lacey: I’m sorry.

I’m exhausted.

I choose…-

Can I change my mind? I can’t- I don’t want to make a mistake.

God: YES! Just your thoughts.

Lacey: Satan. I can’t let go of how DISGUSTING Jack is. He’s VILE. And then Lem stuck his finger up his butt!? And tried to love him!?!

It’s DISGUSTING. What a waste of his existence. Not just his life. It’s almost unforgivable. Jack was…HIDEOUS. HIDEOUS! I can’t stand what a WORTHLESS piece of shit Lem made himself into by SUCKING HIS COCK.

He SUCKED THAT DISGUSTING PIECE OF SHIT’S COCK!?

I cant stand it.

I CANNOT STAND IT!!!

He’s PUTRID!!!

He’s PUTRID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He had the mind and humor of a walnut. Jack Kennedy. A WALNUT. …And a gross, tiny, shit covered, wart covered cock. And he SUCKED IT!??!

I can’t handle it.

HE CAN GO LAUGH. And giggle. And shake his ass. Eating maggots off Jack Kennedy’s slimy shit cock…FOR ETERNITY if he wants it SO DAMN BADLY.

I HOPE HE’S NEVER LONELY EVER AGAIN!!!!

SUCKING MAGGOTS AND BRAGGING ABOUT IT!!!!

I can lose interest too. I can.

See?

*she smiles*

HAVE FUN, LAUGHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And eating shit. Literally.

Yes. Hot shit.

You can smear his shit all over your bodies and get high off your asses.

Eat his shit. Breath his shit. LIVE IN HIS SHIT.

Like the unquestionable soulmates the gay chorus of Florida claims they are.

Still…I may change my mind.

Listen to “The Rush” by Bob Moses.

Lacey: You like that, Lem? Is that song good for you and your playboy?

*she laughs*

HOT DAMN!!

LOOK AT HIS…-

Satan: He has no ass.

Lacey: SHAKE-

SHAKE-

Just shake.

Shake that ugly cock of yours, Jackie Baby! ADVERTISE YOUR SEX!

Lem is straight, sweetie. You’re going to have to cut your head off. …Actually, just shake yourself until your head comes off.

God: That won’t work.

Lacey: Fair enough.

The thing is…Lem is heterosexual.

So…that’s too bad.

Maybe they can just laugh and eat poop.

Satan: I don’t think…you made that choice the right way.

Lacey: I asked if I could change my mind. I’m tired of being treated like shit.

God: Will you?

Lacey: Will my children have to slit their throats in their 30’s? To avoid being burned alive?

From what I understand…Jack is the most hideous man in almost all of human history. He ruined the U.S.. Men have never been the same since. He shit in every woman’s face and then pushed them off a cliff and bragged about it.

He destroyed the Western World. And he just couldn’t stop smiling about it and asking for YET ANOTHER round of applause.

He defiled the Boomers. Defiled their kids. And now we’re all DYING. While kids are being sent into living Hell.

AND YOU GOT HIM TO ORGASM!!!!! *she yells at Lem* FAITHFULLY!!! And the two of you couldn’t shut up about it.

You WROTE A FUCKING HIDEOUS MUSICAL ABOUT YOUR NUMB BODY…WORTHLESSLY SUCKING HIS MAGGOT DICK…UNTIL HE BLOSSOMED IN YOUR MOUTH.

Ha.

YOU DO NOT…LOVE ME!!!!

You LIED!!!!!!!

I am tempted to throw away-

What even ARE YOU!?! *she yells at Lem*

Are you just a worthless piece of shit?

Listen to “Jazz Suit No. 1” by Shostakovich.

Satan: That’s not good.

Listen to “Masquerade” by Khachaturian.

I think you all needed to stop looking a gift horse in the mouth with her and Lem Billings, a while ago. She probably will change her mind and choose Harold because you keep demanding that she made the choice as feminists. Or she’ll change her mind again and decide to go off with Lou. The problem is that because she’s not like you guys who don’t understand shit she will destabilize the entire universe by doing that. You keep demanding that she be more like you that she stop thinking like herself, and it doesn’t work.

This is so bad because God can demand that she be with Lem, but he asked for her thoughts as much as she could hear him. And because of what you’ve done to her she answered. I have to honor that. And I love the idea. But she’s calling my bluff. She’s trying to call God’s bluff. And I have no idea, you have no idea how angry this woman actually rightfully is.

I have a better idea than you do, what’s going on. I don’t think that she’s my wife…yet. *He smiles* But I did extraordinary well last night.

I kicked the shit out of all men to ever live, with this woman last night. And you can thank the gay community and Bobby Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy and all the Kennedys for that. Because until she changes her mind, I don’t know, but you just became extraordinarily pathetic in the eyes of God.

You understand what I’m saying? I’m not talking about her father. I’m not talking about her son. I’m not even necessarily talking about Mark. I’m talking about every other man who could have made love to her and given a shit about her existence.

I’m not talking about children. If you think that: you were never meant to have sex. You were supposed to grow-up and not have it as a child.

And if she doesn’t change her mind The Kennedys will cease to exist. Oh yeah, the original family will very likely cease to exist. I don’t think Bobby will either.

But positive note for the week it’s very likely that she’ll change her mind. I don’t blame her. God chose Lem.

It’s funny. You’re so desperate. You keep missing.

God: I don’t think that this relationship works. I understand that’s that’s what you think, Lacey. But I don’t agree with you.

Lacey: Are you sure!?!

God: Yes I am sure.

Lacey: But you haven’t read the Pitts Novel. About Lem…and his AMAZING adventures with Jack!!!

God: They don’t understand that he wasn’t gay.

Satan: They’re too stupid to understand the concept. That if he’s not gay, he’s not gay.

God: They hear that he’s not gay and they get confused when they see his gay mannerisms.

You try to explain to them what actually happened and they just get confused-

And I can where even if you know he was straight, it’s so antagonistic to your soul that it ruins the entire thing. Because how are you supposed to stand for that!? It’s so insulting to you personally at this point that it’s almost as if he has nothing to offer you at all. People have been so profoundly evil to you about this for the last five years. And there’s no going back. The kids are growing-up. The world is getting hotter and you’re getting older. It is so profoundly evil that I do understand.

On behalf of bitches who wanted to be you, gay men beat you senseless. From the inside out. You’ve struggled to breath and they’ve failed to realize that that’s not an accomplishment.

So why would I want you to be with him? Because I know what’s best.

You are actually really extraordinary with Satan. I would never curse the relationship. I would actually be grateful for it, but it would never be perfect.

Christians have taken their Christianity as a free ride to the top. And it’s not.

I understand that Lem sucked cock, bragged about it and then they kicked the shit out of his wife. You. But I still choose him.

You should choose him, and go to bed. Lem, that is.

Lacey: Does he want me?

God: Yes. It is because you never slept with Satan, never even kissed him. He came on to you. But he was never going to let you be with him. When I said you were a woman I was trying to say that he can demand you, and he has.

Lacey: I don’t understand.

Ultimately is my choice?

God: Yes. But… it’s better for Satan. And there’s a certain thing you misunderstood. I wasn’t saying that you get to choose in that way. No. That is still the man. You understand Christianity.

It’s not like I was asking you to choose it that way. It sounded like that, that’s not what I was saying.

You do get to choose, so you can reject anyone. But ultimately they choose you, but ultimately you can reject them.

So I’m thinking you’re not rejecting, you’re choosing? Have you ever rejected anyone?

No, it really is actually in fact sexually and in every other way, to not be with you, Satan’s best.

Lacey: I don’t think I realized that I was supposed to be rejecting.

Elliott: *laughs*

Lacey: I did not understand that.

Satan: No, I get better sex…with another chick. And I like her as much.

I really don’t think that they’ve understood. They just rejected her and then she did nothing…and then when they walked away they felt rejected because they’re not rejecting her for normal reasons.

She still hasn’t totally changed her mind and to be honest with you, I’m still entertaining the thought that I could make her be what I want.

Lacey: But I do… want what’s best.

God: That’s not how I imagined it. At all.

But I understand that there’s nothing you can do.

So this is not Satan’s fault and it’s human being’s fault. Not including children. And I am really overwhelmed by the reality of this situation.

So you just will have to let me fix this, but you should be with Lem. He really has an explanation. For literally everything.

Lacey: Okay. And you mean that permanently? Satan is not going to change to be more perfect?

God: Yes.

*later*

Lacey: Satan came on to me. And…then we parted.

Or are.

I choose Lem. I changed my mind.

An American military official: You’re cleaning that up.

Lacey: Yes, but it is what it is.

An American military official: What did you do?

Lacey: I just sat there across from him and just noticed.

An American military official: That’s not the answer I was looking for. I am friends with Bobby and I screwed-up.

Lacey: Well that’s too bad. I’m going to bed with Lem. I hope that-

What exactly were you looking for?

An American military official: Sex.

Lem: *rolls his eyes*

Are you lusting after her and pretending not to be?

An American man: –

God: Yes.

Lacey: Well, I’m not sure I’m supposed to say that, but never mind. I’m going to bed.
